Yes! today we will be talking about women that are contesting for the post of the president in 2023, these seven fearless, smart politicians have shown interest to break the bias against female presidency in our country Nigeria by aspiring for the post of the president in the upcoming election 2023, is that not amazing?
If any of them win the post, she would take over from the current president in May 2023, in the person of President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been in office since May 2015.

1. Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi
Khadijah Okunnu-Lamidi is the first on the list and also the first woman aspirant of the Social Democratic Party, she is a media personality and the Chairman Executive Officer (CEO) of Slice Media Solutions, she’s the daughter of the former commissioner, Lateef Olufemi Okunnu, SANand her mother is a successful businesswoman who hails from Ago-Owo.
She declared her interest to run for the Office of the President of Nigeria in the forthcoming 2023 general elections, She disclosed her interest at a media conference in Lagos. She made it known that she wants to go for that position because she sees a better future for her country, Nigeria country.
2. Uju Ohanenye
Uju Ohaneye is the first female presidential aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC), she is a legal practitioner and businesswoman based in Abuja. She is the Managing Director of Kenuj 02 Mall located in a highbrow area of the Federal Capital Territory and Owerri in Imo State.
She’s described herself as an advocate for the commoners and occasionally attacked the male leaders that have failed the country.
3. Carol Nwosu
Carol Nwosu is the first female presidential aspirant under the African Action Congress (AAC), she is a global consultant on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises and a philanthropist
She’s preaching unity as the antidote to Nigeria’s problems. The aspirant believes she can unlock Nigeria’s potential and make the country an African superpower.
She said she was ready and able to serve Nigeria at the highest level of leadership, noting that she was no stranger to international politics and the politics of Nigeria, where she said she had made her mark over the years, and she is passionate about building a united, peaceful and progressive Nigeria, where women would have a voice and where everyone would benefit from the ethos of equity, justice, and fair play.
4. Ibinabo Joy Dokubo
Ibinabo Joy Dokubo is an aspirant under APC, she said if she wins the party’s ticket contest at the polls in 2023, Education and security are top on the list of her priorities if she’s elected president.
She has declared her intention to contest for the office of president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the forthcoming 2023 general elections; she is the first female presidential aspirant in the ruling party.
While speaking at her declaration ceremony in Abuja on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, Dokubo claimed that, if elected as the president, she would improve on the progress made by the current administration.
5. Patience Key
Patience Ndidi Key is the aspirant of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), she is a Health Professional, Scrum Professional, Entrepreneur, Humanitarian, and philanthropist. She is the Chairman Board of Directors (BOD), Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Americas ( NIDOA) in the USA, and the President of the NIDOA Maryland Chapter.
She was inspired to run for the presidential election due to the country’s economic and security challenges. Her three-point agenda is based on peace, equity, and wealth creation of the People’s Redemption Party;
6. Olivia Diana Teriela
Olivia is an aspirant of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) she got the form to get on the ballot for the 2023 presidential election.
7. Angela Johnson
Angela Johnson, an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Presidential Aspirant, formally declared to run for president and says 2023 is the time for the country to have its first female president, Ms. Johnson, who owns the UK-based Compassion Ministry, said this on Thursday at the party secretariat in Umuahia when she formally declared to run for president.
She said: “Our men, who were elected into leadership positions in the country, have failed us.
“Although they were elected to serve, they were served by the people who elected them.”
She expressed concern that the country had not enjoyed sustainable development since the return of democratic governance in 1999.
“I am being led by God to restore the hope of millions of Nigerians, who have become hopeless in the Nigerian project.
