Lynyrd Skynyrd

The Lynyrd Skynyrd band’s album Road Survivors had the most random and so many bizarre things going on. The cover of their 1977 LP featured the entire band engulfed in flames in their artwork. Three days after the album release, the band’s plane crashed! Frontman Ronnie Van Zant and the others died in the crash. This was enough to freak out a lot of people. Besides that, a few words from one of their songs called “That Smell” might freak you out too! There is a line that reads:

There’s a chance the line was written as a drug title precaution, however after the event that took place on the 20th of October 1977, “That mell” certainly reflects a very different and chilling meaning.

Warren Zevon

Warren Zevon was a famous American songwriter and singer. He died of lung cancer in 2003. 16 years before his death he wrote a song that was quite obviously a prediction of his own death. The song, titled “The Factory,” is taken from his 1987 hit album, Sentimental Hygiene. It was a person growing up to be a factory worker like his father. A few lines in this song went like this

16 years later, Zevon died of advanced malignant disease, mesothelioma. This deadly cancer is caused by prolonged exposure to asbestos. The funny thing is that Zevon has never worked in a factory or near asbestos! The fact that 16 years later this was the cause of his death is a crazy, insane prediction that we’re pretty sure he didn’t know.

Marc Bolan

Get ready because this story will blow your mind. Marc wasn’t just a rock star, he looked like one too. His fans were the type to always bling up, always following and listening to what Marc had to say. They followed every word he sang and adored throughout his days. In 1972 he released his single “Solid Gold Easy Action”. Not only was the song a hit, but it also oddly predicted its future. It even hinted at the scenario of his death five years later. The song’s first line, “Solid Gold Easy Action”, read “Life is the same and it will always be as easy as picking foxes from a tree.” On September 16, 1977, Marc was found dead in a car with the license plate “FOX661L”. And yes, the car was wrapped around a tree! We’re already feeling the goosebumps here, aren’t we?!

The Notorious B.I.G.

Biggie Smalls was known for adding a real frankness to the lyrics of his music, though he never really gushed about death much. He had released a debut album entitled “Ready to Die”. Songs like Big Poppa, Juicy and the last one entitled “Suicidal Thoughts” were part of his album which got people asking what he was up to. Thoughts of suicide he tapped out a line that read: “I swear to god death is calling me. “Well, the rapper didn’t actually commit suicide, but died in a shooting in Los Angeles in 1997. His posthumous album was called ‘Life After Death’.

Jeff Buckley

Jeff Buckley’s song “Dream Brother” is said to have been written about Jeff’s boyfriend who wanted to leave his girlfriend and child. In this song he talks about the sadness that would have come if he had followed in his father Tim Buckley’s footsteps. Tim was a great young musician of his time who left Jeff and his mother shortly after Jeff was born. Tim’s life was cut short by a heroin overdose. In his song, the lyrics went as follows:

However, the first line about a dark angel is very unlikely to interfere when giving relationship advice to a boyfriend who is moving away from his girlfriend. However, the second line makes sense. Pay close attention to the third line where he said, “Sleeps on the sand and the ocean washes away.” Three years after the start of “Dream Brother,” Jeff Buckley died by drowning! Call it coincidence if you like, but we don’t take such hints lightly. Just saying!

Jackie Wilson

Jackie had put in some massive hits, but one of their biggest hits was called “Lonely Teardrops” and was released in 1958. In this song he had added the line “My heart is crying, crying”. On September 29, 1975, Jackie gave a live performance on Dick Clark’s Oldies Tour. Then he sang Lonely Tears and as soon as he sang the line “My heart weeps, weeps” he got a severe attack and died on the spot. Initially, fans thought it was all part of his stage persona and didn’t think anything was wrong. Jackie was known to be a little dramatic when performing. After a few minutes, when they noticed there was no movement, they knew something was wrong. It only took a few seconds for the attack to shut down his body. He was immediately taken to the hospital and he went into a coma. He remained in a coma for almost nine years and was eventually pronounced dead. He died in 1984.

Hank Williams

When you hear a song called “I will never get out of this world alive”, it doesn’t really come as a shock as the meaning of it is quite logical and makes sense. Released in 1952, the song wasn’t exactly a big hit, nor did it touch the Billboard charts. The chorus said:

A few months after the song’s release, Hank was pronounced dead in the ER at Oak Hill Hospital. Hank reportedly barely made it out of the world alive after struggling and trying to aspire. Soon after his death, the song became extremely popular and reached the top spot. Today, Hank is credited with pioneering the “die young and sell a lot of records” technique. Well, something good came out of this young musician’s death.

Roderick Anthony Burton

Roderick, also known as Dolla, was killed in a Los Angeles shooting. Before he died, his last song was called “Georgia Nights”. In this song it said:

Dolla’s father died in a shootout at the age of 25. Roderick left this world at the tender age of 21. The prediction he made in the last song finally came true. Since the 70’s we have known the hip hop culture which is still growing and growing. At that time, hip hop had a completely different meaning. One crew hated another crew and was never afraid to use guns and other weapons to kill people. At the same time, blacks were oppressed by racial discrimination. Shootings and encounters were very common. The lives of many young and talented children were taken throughout the scene by Crew War and Beef. Well, it’s all a bit sober, but the culture still exists in many parts of the world. We can’t do anything else
