102 Nigerians stranded in Libya returns home

Nigeria’s National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has announced the safe return of 102 distressed Nigerians, predominantly young women, who were stranded in Tripoli, Libya. They arrived back in the country on a chartered flight operated by Al Buraq Air, specifically a Boeing 737-800 with the registration number 5A-DMG.
The Director General of NEMA personally received the returnees at the Cargo Wing of Murtala Muhammad International Airport in Ikeja. The group consisted of 93 adult females, 3 female children, 3 female infants, 1 adult male, 1 male child, and 1 male infant. Various organizations, including the Nigeria Immigration Service, Refugee Commission, NAPTIP, FAAN, Police, and DSS, collaborated with NEMA in ensuring their safe repatriation.
