It’s common knowledge that rappers don’t live by the rules. They are rebels and that is what makes them so popular. Everything they do is glamorous, even if it’s drug abuse that constantly and steadily undermines life. They are the gods of society and will be forgiven for every sin they commit. You can seduce countless women and have the most kinky relationship, but still get the highest award possible.

Some of the relationships listed in this article shock even by the standards of rock ‘n’ roll. From having an affair with your best friend’s wife to marrying your underage cousin, these couples have really pushed the boundaries.

  • Eric Clapton und Pattie Boyd

Pattie Boyd is credited as inspiring two great artists. George Harrison wrote the love song “Something” for his wife Pattie Boyd. And then the legendary Eric Clapton took it a step further and wrote the cult hit “Layla” for his close friend’s wife. After Clapton recorded the song, he reportedly asked Boyd to meet him secretly at an apartment in South Kensington. According to Boyd, it was the most powerful, moving song she had ever heard. However, her first thought upon hearing the song was that everyone would know it was about her. That same night at a party at the home of pop impresario Robert Stigwood Clapton in the presence of Boyd, he told his friend Harrison that he was in love with his wife. Harrison was angry. Later that year, Boyd dismissed Clapton’s advances. Disappointed with the rejection, he descended into heroin addiction and self-imposed exile for three years. By this time, however, Boyd’s marriage to Harrison was almost over. And finally Clapton managed to seduce her. She moved in with Clapton and married him in 1979. The marriage didn’t last long, however, until she left Clapton in September 1984, due to Clapton’s years of alcoholism and his numerous affairs.

  • Sonny and Cher

Sonny and Cher were one of the most popular and successful music crews of the 1960’s and 70’s. During that time, they dropped the cult hit “I Got You Babe” and two TV shows. However, since their divorce in 1975, they have frequently publicly criticized each other. Cher has revealed multiple times that Sonny was a great womanizer and even five wives wasn’t enough for him. She even claimed that if she had known about Sonny’s wrong ways, she would never have married him. Cher, née Cherilyn Sarkisian, met Sonny, then called Salvatore Bono, at a Los Angeles coffee shop in 1962 when she was 16 and he was 27. Sonny believed she was older and offered her to move into his apartment and act as his housekeeper. They became lovers and married two years later. However, despite professional success, the marriage was never happy. They eventually divorced in 1975. And ever since, Cher has accused Sonny not only of treating her like a golden goose, but of having a firm grip on her. On the plus side, she has called him a great mentor, a great teacher.

  • Marvin Gaye and Janis Hunter

In March 1973, while Marvin Gaye was working on the acclaimed sex anthem “Let’s Go It On,” he met the beautiful Janis Hunter. She was a teenage daughter of Ed Townsend’s ex-girlfriend. Ed Townsend was the producer of the Let’s Get It On album. Janis’ constant presence in the studio served as inspiration for Gaye. On their first date, he was inspired to record the composition “If I Should Die Tonight”. They began their relationship as soon as the recording was complete. After Gaye divorced his first wife, the couple married in October 1977 in New Orleans. However, as with other marriages featured in the list, it was never a happy one. Both had several affairs in their open marriage. Janis has even claimed that Gaye sometimes forced her to Having relationships with other men just to annoy them. Due to several personal issues and the couple’s daunting drug addiction, Janis filed for legal separation in 1979. Despite divorcing in February 1981, the couple saw a recurrent affair until Gaye’s death in April 1984.

  • Jimmy Page und Lori Maddox

The stories of excesses involving the legendband Led Zeppelin are too well known. The group was known for the emaciated culture it promoted within the group. The huge drug and sex parties were widespread. Drummer John Bonham, also known as “the beast”, performed at the concerts with a bag of cocaine between his legs. Every now and then he would grab handfuls during the performance. Also, band leader Jimmy Page was obsessed with Aleister Crowley, the British philosopher and occultist who studied black magic in the early 20th century. And when it came to relationships, Page sucked like everyone else. He is in a relationship with 14-year-old groupie Lori Maddox. The term groupie was used for the teenage girls who formed a voluntary harem for the band. Their torrid and scandalous affair lasted three years. The relationship ended with Maddox attacking a woman Page was sleeping with. The fascination with women who are much younger than him has not ended to this day. The 71-year-old rock legend is dating 25-year-old actress and poet Scarlett Sabet. Yes, there is a mammoth age difference of 46 years between them.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis und Myra Gale Brown

Jerry Lee Lewis is often referred to as “rock & roll’s” first great wild man. “As an artist he is extremely talented. And over the course of his impressive career, he’s had a dozen gold records in rock and country and won multiple Grammy awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award. However, despite his obvious talent, he has had a hard time establishing his reputation. However, he cannot blame anyone for this. When he landed in London for his England tour in 1958, he was poised to become rock’s biggest star. He had recently released “Whole Lotta Shakin” and “Great Balls of Fire” which had become huge hits. Instead of fame, however, he returned from England with a ragged reputation and great scandal. The reason for the scandal was that Lewis had introduced his wife Myra to the English press. So what’s scandalous about that? Well, Myra was 13 years old. She was also the daughter of Jerry Lee’s cousin and bassist JW Braun. Also, the 22-year-old singer was still technically married to his former wife, Jane Mitcham. The scandal hit Lewis’ popularity hard. His live performance fees dropped from $10,000 a night to $250. However, to its credit, The Killer managed to garner tremendous success despite the scandal. popularity heavy. His live performance fees dropped from $10,000 a night to $250. However, to its credit, The Killer managed to garner tremendous success despite the scandal. popularity heavy. His live performance fees dropped from $10,000 a night to $250. However, to its credit, The Killer managed to garner tremendous success despite the scandal.

  • Serge und Charlotte Gainsbourg

If you do a little research on Serge Gainsbourg, you’ll find that the French singer was a pervert and a lunatic. The list of antics and scandalous behavior includes moaning and groaning, recording steamy and sexual songs, writing a concept album about falling in love with teenage girls, and performing publicity stunts in hospital beds. However, the incident that led to his inclusion in this list is one of the most perverted incidents you would have ever heard of. While it’s not a real relationship, it was shocking enough that we could forget the only criteria on the list. In 1984, he recorded a song entitled “Lemon Incest” with his 12-year-old daughter Charlotte. Although the song itself was very shocking, the video still managed to shame him. Charlotte, wearing a nightgown and knickers, lay in bed with her topless dad and sang about “the love we’ll never make together”.

He later made a film about a young girl (played by his daughter Charlotte) who lives with her widowed, alcoholic father. The film deals with suicidal tendencies and incest.

  • Dennis Wilson and Shawn Love

Dennis Wilson was the typical 60’s rocker. He liked to do everything in excess. He drank heavily and his heroin habit was well known. In the early 1970s, he reportedly drank a six-pack, smoked some marijuana, then got into his Jeep and drove at top speed through the desert with his headlights off. He was a notorious womanizer and called himself “the wood”. I think you are all smart enough as to what this sexual pun actually means. He was known for his scandalous and rocky relationships. Despite this, he had an affair with Beach Boy Mike Love’s (alleged) 16-year-old illegitimate daughter, Shawn Marie Love. The couple even had a child in 1982 and married a year later when Shawn was eighteen.

  • Cherie Currie and Scott Anderson

The 2010 film The Runaways, starring DakotaFanning and Kristen Stewart, put the quicksilver and scandalous girl band The Runaways back in the spotlight. In the second half of the seventies, the band of five teenage girls assembled by the infamous Scott Anderson recorded and performed ragged and chugging rock music about sex and rebellion. The band members teased, smoked, drank and snorted and committed every depraved de-believe the rockers used to do. And Scott Anderson has proven himself to be a hands-on manager in a number of ways. He managed to sleep with every band member during the time together. Cherie Currie was the biggest influence on Scott’s sexual appetite. During the band’s first European tour, Scott got 16-year-old Currie pregnant. Her morning sickness was so bad that she had to leave a bucket on stage for some time. Currie even penned a memoir titled “Neon Angel” in which she recounts her life in the band and subsequent traumatic experiences of drug addiction and sex abuse.

  • Bill Wyman and Mandy Smith

Despite their immense popularity and apparent creative genius, there’s no denying that some of the rockers are unashamedly perverted. Take Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman, for example, who has reportedly slept with over 1,000 women and once claimed he went “girl mad” as a psychological crutch. The most scandalous affair of his life was dating a 13-year-old Mandy Smith. It should be noted here that Bill himself was 47 years old. Smith has revealed the relationship was consummated sexually when she was 14 years old. They married when Smith turned 18. However, Wyman continued to sleep and stalk anything that wore a skirt. Two years after the marriage, Smith underwent a religious transformation and decided to divorce Wyman. She has claimed in interviews that she could either go with Bill or with God. And she left for later.

  • Steven Tyler and Julia Holcomb

This is another example of an older rock legend falling in love with a much younger girl. Steven Tyler was 27 when he fell in love with 16-year-old Julia Holcomb. To be fair to Steven Tyler, Julia knew what she was doing. In several interviews, she had shown that she always dressed provocatively. Steven saw her backstage after the concert and he was hooked. However, if she lived with him and traveled with him, there would be a scandal and land Tyler in a legal problem. To fix this problem, Tyler had her mother take over the guardianship rights. Julia moved in with Tyler and after some time she was pregnant with his child. Unfortunately, she later had to have an abortion.
