Water is a basic commodity that is presumably available to everyone, however, research has shown that more than 785 million people in the world do not have access to at least basic water services and more than 884 million people did not have safe water to drink. However, amidst these water availability complications, there are people that buy a bottle of water for as much as $100,000. For the sake of knowledge and record, we will be discussing the 10 most expensive bottled water in the world.

At $100,000 per bottle, Beverly Hills 9OH20 is the most expensive bottled water in the world. The water comes from a spring in the California mountains in the United States and is bottled in an expensive 14-carat diamond bottle.

The bottle was designed by Fernando Altamirano of Tequila Ley, who is also credited with the design of the Cognac Dudognon Heritage Henri IV, thought to be the most expensive bottle of cognac in the world.

The packaging is one of the most expensive parts of the water product, though it is said to have a distinct, tantalizing flavour and softness to the pallet that will impress even the biggest bottled water connoisseurs.

With a bottle as high as $3,881, Bling H20 takes 3rd place among the most expensive bottled water in the world. The product is a made-to-order collection water bottle that is adorned with over 10,000 hand-applied Swarovski Crystals.

The product was designed by a Hollywood producer who saw the opportunity to put a new kind of style item into the hands of celebrities by decking out a frosted bottle with Swarovski crystals.

According to the company website, the water in the bottle is sourced from a spring in Tennessee in the USA and was filtered in 9 different ways. From all clear indications, the company’s focus is almost 100% on the bottle with virtually no focus on the water itself.

Based on reports, the product is a blend of two different water sources and is considered a  better alternative to champagne.
