This was the film that served as the starting point for the Marvel franchise, which has delivered some really great and entertaining films over the years. Simply put, the Iron Man , Captain America and Thor would not have existed if the Spider ManHas failed. Spider-Man’s fight with Green Goblin was well received by fans. At the time, it was the only film to make $100 million in its opening weekend and had the biggest opening weekend ever. Grossing $820 million, it was the biggest release of 2002 and the seventh-highest-grossing film at the time. The film was nominated for Best Visual Effects and Best Sound Mixing at the 75th Academy Awards, and was widely praised for not compromising comic book features to make an entertaining film. And who can forget the passionate hickey shared by hanging Spider-Man and Mary Jane upside down?
-
Spider-Man 3 ($890.9 million)
Released in 2007, Spider-Man 3 was the top-selling hit superhero film in terms of box office receipts until the release of The Dark Knight a year later. It was director Sam Raimi’s most successful film in the Spider-Man trilogy, but in terms of reviews and critic ratings, it was the worst of the three. The film was roundly criticized for its lack of speed and humor. Many observers felt that three villains completely messed up the film. And even those three villains together didn’t have a punch that Doctor Octopus had in the previous film. Too many villains, a romantic triangle, Peter’s moral commotion and super scenes were all too tightly packed into 139 minutes, and as a result none of them got the right time and exposure. It was a half-baked dish with too many ingredients.
However, that didn’t stop the film from earning a whopping $890.9 million in box office worldwide. And because of this immense commercial success, the producers had asked Raimi to work on the fourth film in the installment. Due to disagreements with Sony about further development of the series, Raimi decided to leave the series. The fourth installment never materialized and the series was rebooted.
-
The Dark Knight (1,005 Milliarden US-Dollar)
The second installment in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy is considered by many to be the best of the three series. This film introduced the devilish Joker character to the audience. The character that drove Heath Ledger from his insane obsession and extreme preparation made her one of the most popular and iconic villain characters in Hollywood history. The Joker presented Gotham City and Christian Bale with a whole new challenge in his second outing as the Caped Crusader had to do his best to deal with the chaos Joker had caused. The legendary Batman comics villain Face Two also made an exciting appearance towards the end of the film.
The film was a huge financial success and was critically acclaimed for a great story and brilliant acting by the leads. It received eight Academy Award nominations, including Best Sound Editing , and Ledger was posthumously awarded Best Supporting Actor .
-
The Dark Knight Rises ($1.084 billion)
And on the next spot is the sequel to The DarkKnight. “By the way, the sequel to such a great film has turned out to be the biggest obstacle to film recognition. If the film isn’t compared to The Dark Knight and Bane isn’t compared to Joker, then the generally accepted consensus would be that it was a wonderful film and Bane a one-of-a-kind villain who has the distinction of dominating Batman. In the film, Bane served as a powerful front for the implementation of League of Shadows’ nefarious plans. In general, the critics as well as the audience enjoyed the film. Tom Hardy’s menacing display of imposing on Bane was universally appreciated by audiences. Anne Hathaway’s performance as the cat-woman added some much-needed sex appeal to the film. Christian Bale was once again imperious as Batman / Bruce Wayne. With a gross of over 1 billion US dollars, the film successfully and satisfactorily ended one of the most popular film series.
-
Iron Man 3 (1,215 Milliarden US-Dollar)
No superhero movie list can be complete without the addition of Ironman . And in this list we have the third movie of the Iron Man series. And if the reports are to be believed, this would in all likelihood be the final film in the series as well. Hey, but the Iron Man fans don’t need to worry as Iron Man will make an appearance at least in the next episode of Captain America and Avengers . Back to the topic. In Iron Man 3, Tony Stark had to deal with the mysterysuicide bombings and the emergence of the terrorist Mandarin. And he did it with his signature flair, swagger, and scathing wit. The film grossed $1.215 billion at the box office, which is surprising considering it’s the weakest Iron Man film. I personally think it was a great movie and it may have suffered from the last movie of series syndrome where the last movie of each series is always considered garbage. The film’s producers won’t worry anyway, as the film ranks eighth in the list of highest-grossing films of all time.
-
Avengers: Age Of Ultron (1,345 Milliarden US-Dollar)
Officially, the income still flows in. Hypothetically, this film can rise to first place. However, the steam is running out and the box office collection can hardly be expanded. This was the eleventh in the Marvel Cinematic Universeand one of the highest grossing films in the franchise. The film, which grossed over $1 billion, is the third-highest-grossing film of 2015 and the sixth-highest-grossing film of all time. It was widely praised by critics. The film’s think tank was also praised for creating a worthy adversary for the superhero team in Ultron. The romantic angle between Romanoff and Bruce Banner kept things interesting and made the film more dynamic in terms of emotional tension. And the addition of Vision to the roster was a pleasant surprise. Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver also did well.
-
The Avengers (1,519 Milliarden US-Dollar)
The highest-grossing superhero film of all time is The Avengers . This 2012 film was the last in Marvel’s first phase. Grossing more than $1.5 billion, the film was a smashing success at the box office. It is the third highest-grossing film of all time with only Titanic and Avatar making more money. It was also well received by critics, who particularly praised the bloat of superheroes in a compact typeface.
