Who is rapper Wolf?

Carlos Damián Mansilla , better known as Wolf, is a famous Argentine rapper and freestyler who has excelled in several battles such as Red Bull, BDM, El Quinto Escalón, Cruce de Campeones Nacional, where he has been a winner on more than one occasion. The freestyler Wolf was born on December 24, 1994 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is currently considered one of the best rappers in his country.

Beginnings in Wolf’s life

Carlos Damián Mansilla, better known as Wolf in the world of musical entertainment, particularly rap; was born on December 24, 1994 in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The beginnings of his musical career date back to 2011, when Wolf  became known in rap battles that were held in squares and in underground competitions. We have to mention that his younger brother, named Marcos, is also a freestyler rapper who uses the initials  MKS as his stage name .

In 2012 Wolf  participated in what would be the beginnings of the competition known as El Quinto Escalón , where he faced other freestylers including his brother  MKS and the artist Muphasa. Also during this year he would be present in the competition known by the name of ACDP, from which he would be eliminated after losing against the artist Cober. After this defeat he would continue competing in lower rank competitions.

During the year 2013  Wolf participated again in El Quinto Escalón , and also enrolled in the 2013 Red Bull National, where he beat the artist Beposs in the round of 16, Dozer in the quarterfinals, he was defeated in the semifinal by the artist Papo . 2014 would not be the best year for Wolf , but thanks to his perseverance, he would continue to participate in El Quinto Escalón, where we know that he could not get past the round of 16, and that in Red Bull he was defeated by the artist known by the name from Jea.

The following year, in 2015, Wolf would continue to be a contestant on El Quinto Escalón, where he would face artists like Midel, Duki , and Dani to name just a few. He would also enter to participate in the Red Bull of that year, a competition in which he would win Acru in the round of 16, however he would lose to Dtoke.

The year 2016 was full of competitions for the artist Wolf , since he was more than once in El Quinto Escalón, but he was also a competitor in 2vs2, a contest in which he made a duet with the artist known by the name of Nacho, and thus they won the team made up of Midel and Frijo meeting in the final. He placed second in the 5E X ACRU contest in which he would be defeated by the artist known as the Klan in the finals.

A short time later he would be a participant in Vans 2016, where Wolf  was the winner of  Papo in the round of 16 and Dtoke defeated him when they were in the quarterfinals, later  Wolf  was in the National Final Fifth Step, but they eliminated him during the first round. Later he decided to participate in the BDM Argentina of that year, where he beat Sinaph in the round of 16, then he defeated Acru in the quarterfinals, Shecka lost to him in the semifinals, and the Klan defeated him in the final.

The following year, in 2017,  Wolf appeared in the Crossing of Champions, a contest in which he was defeated by Trueno . Shortly after, he would be on different dates when El Quinto Escalón took place, arriving at the contest derived from this known by the name of El Quinto Escalón: El Final, where he was about to win but was defeated by the artist Replik.

During 2018, Wolf decided to get away from rap battles for a while, and we only know that he was present at the Regional Battle of Buenos Aires on Red Bull Day 1, however, he was eliminated very early from this competition by the artist Sok, but a year later  Wolf was the winner of the Argentine National Crossing of Champions competition , in which he was the winner of Alkoy in the round of 16, Jeese Pungaz in the quarterfinals, Double M in the semifinals, and Sub in the final, giving him victory total. Thus becoming champion brought him promotion to international competition, where he would be defeated in the round of 16 by the artist of Peruvian origin known as Jaze.

During this year , Wolf was the winner of the Buenos Aires Regional BDM , a contest in which he was the winner of Pingui, finding himself in the final. And lastly for this year, in the Red Bull Nacional Argentina Final, they won over Peqo Flow in the round of 16, defeated Tuqu in the quarterfinals, and eliminated Roma in the semifinals, however they would lose against  Trueno  while already in the final.

In 2020, he returned to participate in Red Bull Argentina, where he was the winner of the artist  Dani in the round of 16, Tiago in the quarterfinals, he also beat his rival Klan in the semifinals, and was runner-up in the final after being defeated by  Tata . . In a recent interview, Wolf spoke about the style that he represents in the world of musical entertainment, known as “freestyle”, in which the creative ability to make rhymes of those who dedicate themselves to this musical genre is notorious. In this regard, Wolf stated that in reality he did not have in mind his rapid rise to the FMS, and that his recent successes are something that he has gradually become more comfortable with in different competitions. 

In an analysis of how freestyle has evolved in recent years, we have that, in Wolf ‘s opinion , the battles are undergoing constant changes that are making them more than a set of contests, a hybrid between a sport and artistic competitions. At this point we cannot fail to highlight that Wolf was one of the first freestyler rappers to participate in the beginning of the contest known as El Quinto Escalón, in addition to the fact that year after year he has been present in the battles of this contest, which has brought him As a consequence, witnessing the changes that this contest has had over time.

In 2021 the freestyler  WOLF became a contestant in the third season of FMS Argentina together with the artist known by the name of Mecha; On the first day he lost against Dtoke after some aftershocks, however he was not disqualified thanks to his ingenious rhymes that captivated the public, and it was decided that he would finish seventh in the league. In the second day he was the winner of  Cacha after two aftershocks in a hard battle, where as a final result he achieved the position of sixth place in the league.

On the third day he is the winner of Sub and is positioned in fifth place in the league. On the fourth day he would not have much luck, and would lose to  Papo without any reply, which caused him to drop directly to seventh place. On the fifth day he would not do better, and he would be defeated after a close battle against Stuart after two aftershocks, for the sixth day he lost directly against the artist Mecha, although he did leave a quite admirable Hard Mod. On the seventh day he was the winner of the artist Nacho after 2 aftershocks. Here in particular we have to mention that this confrontation has been described as “a clash of totally different styles” that the public has come to define as a “tongo case”.
