Who are  TXT?

TXT “Tomorrow X Together” is a South Korean boy band exponents of the K-pop genre made up of five members: Huening Kai, Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu and Taehyun , together they have achieved great musical successes such as Magic, Crown, Run Away, Cat & Dog, Can’t You See Me?, among others. The kpop group TXT debuted on March 4, 2019 and is currently considered one of the most successful boy bands worldwide.

Beginnings of TXT

Tomorrow X Together, also known by the acronym TXT , is a K-pop musical group that was formed by Big Hit Music and became known in 2019. The members of the group are: Huening Kai, Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu and Taehyun.

Of its members we have to mention that the leader, Soobin, whose real name is Choi Soo-bin, was born on December 5, 2000 in Ansan, Gyeonggi, South Korea. Showing an interest in show business since he was a boy, he auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment in 2016, with a video he recorded in his room.

On the other hand, Choi Yeon-jun, better known by the stage name Yeonjun, came into the world on September 13, 1999 in Bundang-gu, Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and auditioned for Big Hit Entertainment with the song “Boy in Luv” by BTS.

We also have Choi Beonmgyu, artistically known as Beomgyu, he was born on March 13, 2001 in Daegu, South Korea, and when he was younger he formed a rock band in which he played the electric guitar, in various interviews he has stated that since child showed interest in the world of music.

We cannot forget about Kang Tae-hyun, better known as Taehyun, he was born to the world on February 5, 2002 in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea, and his foray into the world of entertainment began at an early age when he was a child was the protagonist of several commercials.

Finally we have Kai Kamal Huening, who was born on August 14, 2002 in Honolulu, Hawaii, United States, has a father who is an actor and singer-songwriter, who introduced him to the world of entertainment, and awakened that taste in him that today it has brought him to where he is.

Its first mention in the media was on the date of January 10, 2019, when the Big Hit company made public through its Twitter account the presentation of each of the band members in a video to the public. who gave the name “What do you do?” The next day, on January 11, Big Hit Entertainment announced the name of the musical group as  TXT Tomorrow x Together ; It was in this way that the acronym TXT occupied the first place in the search histories and attracted the attention of Billboard, resulting in many articles being written about the new group.

Subsequently, for the date of March 4, 2019, they released their debut EP which they gave the name of The Dram Chapter: Star, which was published together with the feature film titled Tomorrow X Together Debut Celebration Show, which was broadcast on Mnet.

We must point out that the release of the single “Crown”, which by the way was the album’s title track, was a success, and its music video broke the record for being the debut music video for a K-pop male group. most viewed in just one day of its premiere. Also, we can’t leave out the fact that this album charted on Billboard’s Gaon Album Chart and World Chart; while the song “Crown” was in first place on the Billboard World Digital Songs chart. In the same way, it is our knowledge that TXT was ranked first on Billboard’s “Emerging Artists” list, while it ranked number 140 on the list called Billboard 200.

The TXT boys “Tomorrow X Together”  performed on the music show M! Countdowm on the date of March 7, 2019 through the Mnet network, thanks to the song “Crown” were described as: “The innovators of a decade of K-pop” and “the bright and effervescent pop of TXT , that despite being a younger group than BTS, they are in their own element as they positively explore coming of age adolescent pain.”

On April 9 of that year, what would be his first international tour was announced, which consisted of a series of concerts in different locations in the United States: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, and Atlanta, taking place between May 19 and 24.

Trajectory and history of TXT

Later, on the date of October 21, 2019, TXT  released the studio album known as The Dram Chapter: Magic, which had the single called “9 and Three Quarters (Run Away)”. This album incorporates various musical genres among which we can find: R&B, tropical house, acoustic, pop, and hip hop, it was in first position on the Gaon Album Chart, exceeding the amount of 124 thousand sales in just one week. We must point out that this album earned the group their rise to fame internationally, and they were awarded recognition at awards known by the names of: Asia Artist Awards, Melons Music Awards, Mnet Asian Music Awards, Seoul Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards, and Gaon Chart Music.

A short time later, in 2020, the guys from TXT “Tomorrow X Together”  made their debut in Japan with the single “Magic Hour”, where they included Japanese-language versions of the songs: “Run Away”, “Angel for Devil ”, and “Crown”. They were No. 1 on the Oricon Chart, and No. 2 on the Oricon Weekly Song Chart. Later we could see them on the television program known as TV Asahi Music Station, in which they sang the Japanese version of the song “Run Away”. Due to this great success, the Magic Hour album received gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (known by the acronym RIAJ), with sales exceeding 100,000 copies.

For the date of April 28, the company Big Hit Entertainment made the announcement of the release of its second EP which they gave the name of The Dram Chapter: Eternity in which we find the single “Can’t You See Me?” Soon after, on April 28, Big Hit Entertainment made the revelation that this album is a kind of “pause” before the musical group begins a new chapter in their artistic career. It is our knowledge that the album was released on the date of October 26, 2020 along with the video for the song “Blue Hour”; while on November 12 the video of the song “We Lost The Summer” was published, and already in the present year 2021, dated February 14, they published the video of the song known as “Way Home”, great hits for  “Tomorrow X Together”.

So among the most recent news we have from the musical group “Tomorrow X Together”  is that in January of this year, to be more specific on the date of January 20, they released what was their first Japanese studio album called Still Dreaming, which includes both previously unpublished songs and others previously published. Among all the songs we must highlight the one entitled “Force”, which was selected to be the opening theme of the second season of the Japanese production television series known under the title of World Trigger. Also, we know that this song was at the top of the Line Music Chart for a long time, and it surpassed the Japanese version of “Run Away”.

Subsequently, on April 22, 2021, the Big Hit Music company made the announcement that the TXT group would return by the end of May, on the date of May 31, “Tomorrow X Together”  made the publication of what was their second Korean-language studio album, which they named The Chaos Chapter: Freeze. We cannot ignore the fact that on June 5 this same album exceeded 520 pre-sale reservations, thus breaking the record of 400,000 reservations for Minisode 1: Blue Hour. This is how we can say that this young musical group has a prestigious artistic career that is rapidly rising, being today one of the most recognized performers of the k-pop genre worldwide.

How much is TXT’s fortune?
