Who are  The Boyz?

The Boyz is a South Korean boy band exponents of the  K-Pop genre  made up of Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, Ju Haknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric who throughout their successful musical career have harvested great hits such as Thrill Ride, The Stealer, Breaking Dawn, No air, Reveal, Drink It, among others. The Kpop band The Boyz debuted on December 6, 2017 in Korea and two years later in Japan; and before they called themselves Cre.kerz.

Beginnings of The Boyz

The Boyz is an all-male musical group from South Korea. What we know about the beginnings of their artistic career is that towards the end of 2016 and the beginning of 2017, some of its members made their appearance in video clips of different artists.

The Boyz band is made up of: Sangyeon (born on the date of November 4, 1996 in South Korea), Jacob (born on May 30, 1997 in Toronto, Canada), Hyunjae (who was born on September 13, 1997 in 1997 in South Korea), Younghoon (born August 8, 1997 in South Korea), Kevin (born February 23, 1998 in Template, Vancouver, Canada), Juyeon (who came into the world on January 15, 1998 in South Korea), New (born on the date of April 26, 1998, in South Korea), Q (who came into the world on November 5, 1998 in South Korea), Sunwoo(born on the date of April 12, 2000 in South Korea), Ju Haknyeon (who was born on March 9, 1999 in Jeju, South Korea), and Eric (born on December 22, 2000 in Los Angeles, California, United States). We cannot forget to point out Hwall , who left the group on the date of October 23, 2019 due to health problems.

Kevin made his individual debut on the reality show Kpop Star 6. Sunwoo was a contestant on High School Rapper and Ju Hankyeon was a contestant on Produce 101.

It was on the date of July 4, 2017, when the boys of The Boyz announced their official debut as a group under the stage name of Cre.kerz . That being the case, on the dates from August 23 to October 11 of that year, his first reality show was carried out, which was known under the title of Flower Snack, one of the results being the release of the song “I ‘m your boy’. The success they achieved was such that they held their first fan meeting called “Heart to Heart” on October 28.

For the month of November they were hired by the Skoolooks school uniform brand and the cosmetics brand called Siero Cosmetic. A little later, on December 4,  The Boyz signed a contract with Sony Music to promote in Japan. This is how on December 6 they debuted under the name of The Boyz by releasing their first EP known under the name of The First, with “Boy” being their successful lead single.

Trajectory and history of The Boyz

The following year, in 2018, on April 3 they presented their second EP called The Start, whose main single was the song titled “Giddy Up”. We cannot forget that among the most outstanding musical themes that The Boyz had that year are the songs of: “KeePer”, “Right Here” and “LOU Right Here”.

On the date of January 6, 2018,  The Boyz had a spot on the Hanteo Chart Awards for the first time. Some time later, on February 17, they were at the event called K-Pop World Festa at the Winter Olympics held in Pyeongchang. Later, on March 28, the news of the disease that Hwall suffered from, known in medical terms as “posterior tibial tendon dysfunction”, also came to light that he had undergone surgery on the date of March 22. While for April 3, The Start album was ranked fifth on Hanteo’s daily chart.

As of May 3, The Boyz ranked first on Hanteo’s Top 5 Best-Selling K-Pop Group Albums. Already on June 23, it was reported that the member Jacob had been appointed as vice president, thus becoming the sub-leader of the group. We cannot forget that sad news was released in the following statement: “On February 4th, member Hwall’s father has sadly passed away. At this current time, Hwall is with family and close friends at the funeral home, and in accordance with the relatives’ wishes, the funeral will be private with his family and friends. We ask for his consideration so that the family can grieve. Please understand that we couldn’t inform you sooner. Please give your sincere support and encouragement so that Hwall, his family and close friends can heal their hearts as soon as possible. May he (his father of him) rest in peace ”.

The following year, in 2019, more specifically in the month of April, the boys of the band The Boyz  released the album Bloom Bloom, which consisted of three songs. A short time later, in the same year, they released the Dreamlike EP. Dreamlike, which consisted of six songs, being the last time we would hear Hwall’s voice with the group. A few months later they debuted in Japan with the mini-album known as Tatoo.

In the month of February of last year 2020 The Boyz  made the presentation of the studio album entitled Reveal, which consisted of a total of 9 songs, among which those known under the titles of: “Reveal” were the most successful. , “Ego”, “Salty”, “Scar”, “Break Your Rules” and “Spring Snow”. However, with the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, the promotion of the album was affected, although being available on digital platforms, it was a success both nationally and internationally. This is how many of the songs charted on the Billboard charts.

A little later, for the month of March, the news of their participation in Road to Kingdom was released, a television program in which they would face off as contestants against other groups such as: Oneus, Pentagon, Too, Golden Child and VERIVERY. Regarding their luck in this contest, we know that they were in first place for three performances in a row, then fell to third place by collaborating with Oneus, and later rose to the top again with their performance of the original theme song “Shangri La”. by VIXX. In this way it is as for the date of June 18, The Boyz were the winners of the program thanks to the single “Checkmate” .

We must also point out that they were the group The Boyz  that obtained the highest score, which placed them as one of the favorites by the public. While in 2021 The Boyz released their first album in Japanese known under the title Breaking Down , whose most successful songs were: “Prism”, “Einstein”, “Kiss me if you can” and “Closer”.

We cannot leave aside that in July  The Boyz released the single “Drink It” in digital download format, through the platform known as UNIVERSE, specialized in K-pop groups, we must mention that their video vampire-themed musical was very successful with the public. A little later, they released the song called “Thrill Ride”, which has earned them endless awards.

How much is the fortune of The Boyz?

This is one of the questions that people ask themselves about The Boyz and although they always end up answering it on other pages with “I don’t know” or “it depends” if there are some estimates that various web portals mention. However, it is not possible to make an exact calculation about the fortune of this great star that is the group The Boyz within the middle of the show, even so, more than being interested in the fortune of a person, the important thing is the talent they have and what I have made him one of the great figures of the international show business.
