Who are The Two Carnals?

Los dos Carnales is a northern music group made up of the brothers Imanol and Poncho Quezada, leaders and vocalists who throughout their history have achieved great successes such as El borracho, El envidioso, Home rum, Mis raíces, La toxica, among many more. . The Los dos Carnales group debuted at the beginning of their artistic career in 2015 and since then they have become one of the greatest norteño music groups.

Los Dos Carnales are a musical group made up of the brothers Imanol and Pocho Quezada, Armando Hernández and Kevin Montemayor,  originally from San Pedro de las Colonias in the State of Coahuila, Mexico, and decided to join as a band back in 2015.

As for his artistic name “Los dos carnales” it is due to the relationship between their voices, particularly those of the brothers Poncho and Imanol , who during their childhood were educated as musicians, the eldest of them being Poncho (who gave him He has been Imanol for six years) who introduced his younger brother to artistic training.

According to what they have stated in various interviews, the Quezada brothers have always had a very good relationship, feeling attracted to the same style of music. At the beginning, Poncho and Imanol Quezada  worked as clowns at parties, later, they made a few presentations until they came to sing in bars, where little by little they began to gain some fame. It is in this way that in various interviews they came to comment: “We have a good time playing ourselves, my brother started at 9 years old and I was 14. When we started in this kind of music, we had to be clowns. We did a show and played.”

It was the year 2015 when, several years of preparation, the group Los dos carnales finally made their artistic debut with Poncho as singer and bass quinto, Imanol on second voice and accordion, Kevin as drummer, and Armando in charge of bass.

At first, Los dos carnales were in charge of opening events for La Trakalosa de Monterrey in Coahuila; although we must point out that it is also considered that their official debut as an already recognized group did not come until 2018. Trajectory and history of Los Dos Carnales

At the beginning of 2018, Los dos carnales presented the single “Puro Dos Carnales”; so that a few months later his album known as Te lo dije, which included songs such as: “Le hace falta un beso”, “Imperio Beltrán Leyva” and “Te lo dije” ( collaboration with Luciano Díaz that gives the album its title). Later they presented the EP album known as Dio vuelta la moneda, in which they released the famous song called “El Corrido de El Fantasma”, a song that honors the artist known as ” El Fantasma “.

At this point we have to highlight that precisely El Fantasma has been one of the main precursors to the fame of the family group Los dos carnales , who has appeared in some of their concerts and collaborated with them on different hits. In the same year 2018, they released the singles “El sonriente de Durango” and “Tristes Navidads”; Of course, we cannot forget the hit song “Vadajosa Vida”, which made them appear on the most popular lists, opening the door to international recognition.

Already towards the end of 2018, Los dos carnales   released their second album, which they gave the name of Somos Arrieros, which was preceded by their first live album known as En vivo desde las cañas.

After a brief break, Los dos carnales   returned in 2020 with the EPs Corridos con olor a monte (which was a collaborative work with the musical group called Los Reos de Tamaulipas) and 6 tragos, the latter released in the month of June. We cannot ignore the fact that it was also last year when they presented the albums known by the names of: Corridos y Más Corridos and Al estilo rancherón; of which the most successful songs have been highlighted as: “Plama y San Felipe”, “El Gallo Pobre”, “El Corrido de el Cholo”, “El Corrido de Panchito”, “Desde Hoy”, and “Al rancherón style” (this last song in collaboration with El Fantasma ).

In the artistic trajectory of Los Dos Carnales during the present year 2021 they released the single “Cabrón y Vago”, which is included in the album Puerta Abierta vol. 1 by the artist The Ghost .
