Who is Francisco Rubio?

Francisco Rubio Dieguez ,  better known as Francisco Rubio, is a famous actor from Mexican series and soap operas who, thanks to his great acting talent, has stood out in television projects such as; La Doña, My perfect family, Simply María, Forever my love, Mr. Ávila, The woman of the gale and With you Yes. The actor Francisco Rubio was born on September 7, 1979 in Mexico City and is currently considered one of the best actors of Mexican television.

Beginnings in the life of Francisco Rubio

Francisco Rubio Dieguez was born on the date of September 7, 1979 in Mexico City. It is our knowledge that when he was a child he had the dream of being a famous singer, and later, when he was about 24 years old, Francisco Rubio  was in a musical program known as Picardía Mexicana; then, his interest changed from music to acting, so soon after he entered the Center for Artistic Education (CEA) of Televisa.

It is considered that the beginnings of his artistic career occurred when Francisco Rubio was part of the cast of the famous youth soap opera known as Clase 406 , where he shared credits with Anahí, Christian Chávez , Maité Perroni , Alfonso Herrera Rodríguez, Dulce María, among others. In this production, Francisco Rubio was in charge of giving life to the character of Carlos Muños, nicknamed “El Caballo”.

About this period of his life, the actor has commented in different interviews that: “After training (he means finishing his training as an actor at the CEA) I started doing castings and I got Clase 406. This novel gave me a lot of personal satisfaction and professionals.” We cannot ignore the fact that it was also around this time that he was in the soap opera called El juego de la vida, another great acting success for  Francisco Rubio.

A little later, in 2004, Francisco Rubio  was on the television program known as Mujer, casos de la vida real. Later, in 2006, he was in charge of giving life to the character of Vicente Bustamante in the soap opera called Las dos caras de Ana. While in 2008, we have news that he participated in the soap opera Juro que te amo with the character of Claudio Balcazar.

It was in that same year when Francisco Rubio  made his appearance in Cuidado con el ángel giving life to Rafael Cimarro. We cannot ignore the fact that he was also part of the cast of the television program entitled La rosa de Guadalupe. We should point out that a year earlier, in 2007, Francisco Rubio was nominated at the TVyNovelas Awards in the category of “Best Supporting Actor” thanks to his performance in Las dos caras de Ana.

A short time later, in 2010, he played Rodrigo in I am your fan. The following year, in 2011, Francisco Rubio  appeared in the play known as The Last Saturday of June. In the same way we know that he participated in Como dice el dicho.

The following year, in 2012, he gave life to Hannibal in Cappadocia. While in the field of soap operas, Francisco Rubio  was part of the cast of La mujer del vendaval as Amadeo Rosado Sánchez. A little later, in 2013, he played Gonzalo Carbajal in Forever My Love. It was in that year when he added to his artistic career the play titled Submersibles. Regarding this production, we must point out that he was performing in the city of Seville, Spain, where he opened up to the entertainment press about his Burgos ancestry, since his grandmother is originally from Burgos.

In addition to saying that one of his dreams as an actor was to work for a Spanish production. We cannot forget that at this time the media questioned  Francisco Rubio if he had left music in the past, to which he, in different interviews, replied: “Not entirely. Some time ago I even considered releasing a record, but now I have given priority to acting. Although I love musicals and in the play Submergibles I sing a tango at the end.”

In the same way, we are aware that in 2014 the artistic career of actor Francisco Rubio took a big turn, when he himself announced that he wanted to start making more appearances on the big screen. This is how he had a leading role in the film known under the title of Falling in love with April, regarding which he commented that: “I am very focused on wanting to make movies, it is the energy in which I have experienced the least and where I want to learn and do more. My intention is to search, get in touch with the productions that are starting and Falling in love with April is a great step to be able to join the cinema.”

In this film, Francisco Rubio shared credits with Christian de la Fuente and Irán Castillo  , since he had already worked with the latter on two previous occasions: “I did my first job with her, I participated in one of her video clips called “Yo por the”. Then my first soap opera, Clase 406, and now my first movie is also next to it. She is a great friend who also brings me a lot of luck and gives me a good kick.”

In his time, we could see Francisco Rubio very excited to have been chosen as part of the cast of this film production, where he had to play the owner of a restaurant, who despite having an Arabic accent is not of Arab origin, in addition to who is the best friend of the protagonist, played by Christian de la Fuente, to whom he continually gives love advice. We cannot ignore the words that the actor Francisco Rubio said to the entertainment press regarding this film:“I want to train in the cinema because I got into soap operas and I am very used to working for television. Later I dedicated myself a lot to the theater, they are two energies to which I am very accustomed, in the cinema it is very specific, with a different rigor and you have to work. As an actor I am hungry to continue growing, to learn and to make a lot of cinema.”

Some time later, in 2015, after a successful tour of Mexico and Spain in which he was performing with the work of Submergibles, Francisco Rubio  was in charge of the interpretation of the character of Marco Arenti Serrano in the telenovela called Simply María; just as he also appeared in the Damn temptation program.

The following year, in 2016, he played Pierre in Mr. Avila. We cannot ignore the fact that it was in that same year when we were able to enjoy his performance on the big screen with the film known as the Beginners Manual to be President, where Francisco Rubio  played a businessman.

A little later, in 2018, he was back on the big screen, this time with the movie called #POZME, in the skin of a character named Miguel. In the same way we know that in that year he was part of the cast of the telenovela known under the title My perfect family, where he was in charge of interpreting the character of Daniel Mendoza.

Francisco Rubio during 2020 joined the cast of the telenovela La doña , giving life to the character of Andrés Roldán. While in the current year 2021 it is our knowledge that he has appeared on the big screen with the film called Human Animals, as Jorge’s interpreter.

After so many successes that Francisco Rubio was achieving in his artistic career , in October 2021 another great project arrived from Televisa in the telenovela “Contigo Sí” which was highly anticipated because the soap opera that was on that same schedule “Designing your love” had not given the expected results.  The telenovela “Contigo sí” in which  Francisco Rubio participated was a new modernized adaptation of the successful novel “Viviana”.
