Francesca Ramírez, better known in the world of musical entertainment as Chesca, grew up in a musical environment, as we know that her mother, who dreamed of becoming a singer since she was a child, was unable to do so due to illness. Although this did not prevent her French daughter from her inheriting her taste for music.

This is how, from an early age, Francesca imitated the steps of the dances of Michael Jackson and Tina Turner, which was enough reason for her mother to enroll her in a dance school in her native Puerto Rico. From then on, different job opportunities for agencies dedicated to promoting talent began to come into her life, where the now famous  Chesca  caught the eye of important producers.

It was Chesca herself who in a recent interview spoke about her beginnings in the musical field; “I’ve been singing since I was three years old, I have videos that I later upload to my social networks, where I sang Michael Jackson’s songs and my dream was to be like him. For me as a growing artist, the reception is very good, I feel very happy and now all the work I have done is taking shape”.

When she was 11 years old, Chesca  suffered a terrible accident that almost took her life, because when she was fishing with her father, her hair got caught in the motor of the boat and ripped off her entire scalp, which resulted in 17 operations and three long months of recovery. After this unfortunate incident, she moved to Miami, still with her dream of becoming a singer.

It is considered that the beginnings of Chesca’s artistic career occurred when she became a member of the musical group The Paradiso Girls , and her collaboration with the artist Armenchick. Shortly thereafter, Ella Chesca became the lead singer of the group known as The Paradiso Girls (a spin off of The Pussycat Dolls). 

It was in this period of her life when we can also say that Chesca  dedicated herself to dabbling in acting with her appearance in the Netflix series El ganador which recounted the life of Nicky Jam , in addition to being the singer and composer of a song that It was in the movie Dora the Explorer.

This is how in 2018 Chesca made her debut as a soloist with the single titled “Azúcar”, which in a short time had millions of views on YouTube. She later dedicated herself to presenting a series of covers of other songs.

Once he overcame the terrible disease  , Chesca  presented songs such as “El Cambio”, a single that was chosen as the official theme for the video of the presidential election campaign in the United States; whose lyrics were composed by herself, in a new version of the song “The Change” by Diane Warren.

Urban music has been the genre in which Chesca has performed with great success and in the middle of 2021 with great projections towards the future, the singer commented that she was very happy to have been Puerto Rican and to be able to sing urban music because it was a style with which She grew up and also aspired to be as successful as  Karol G ; “I was born in Puerto Rico, I grew up with reggaeton. It’s like any urban musical genre, it can be aggressive, but it can also be fun, everyone can have other types of themes. I feel very happy to be part of this female empowerment through reggaeton, singers like Karol G  do it incredible and I want to do it too” , she commented at that time..

In mid-2021 , Chesca was overjoyed when she was nominated for the “Lo Nuestro” awards in two categories; “Best New Artist” where she was competing with other great stars and music figures such as Nathy Peluso ,  Emilia  and  Nicki Nicole  who was finally the winner, but Chesca was also nominated in the “Collaboration of the Year” category for the song she sang together to Piltbull, called “Turn It Up”. As if that were not enough, Chesca was also fortunate to be able to sing on the award day, performing the song together with Grupo Firme Eduin Caz  and Lenin Ramírez; “I’m Not Coming Back With You”.
