Beginnings in the life of Sergio Lizárraga

It is considered that the beginnings of Sergio Lizárraga ‘s artistic career occurred when he formed the so-called Banda MS, back in 2003 in the municipality of Mazatlán, Sinaloa. That is why they gave it the artistic name of “MS”, M for Mazatlán and S for Sinaloa. 

Initially, Sergio Lizárraga ‘s bandit had 15 members; and they began to make themselves known in 2002, when the need arose in Sergio Lizárraga to dedicate himself to his love for music, interpreting rhythms originating from Sinaloa. For this reason, they began to hold small family gatherings in which they played different instruments, hence we can understand that many of their members share a last name, as is the case with: José Osuna, Jairo Osuna, Christian Osuna, Luis Fernando Osuna, Elias Nordahl Piña and Ricardo Nordahl Piña. We cannot ignore the fact that many of its members were musicians who had experience in the genre called banda sinaloense, in addition to having belonged to other highly famous musical groups such as La Original Banda el Limón or the one known by the name of Banda La coastal

It was in 2004, when Sergio Lizárraga made his debut with the release of the album No podrás , whose most famous success was the song of the same title “No podrás”, which was performed by La Arrolladora Banda El Limón, who also He published it on his album of the same year, which became known as Huele a peligro . 

Later, in 2005,  Sergio Lizárraga presented the album called Escuela de rancho , whose most successful songs were: “Te Amo”, “El M1”, “Púdrete”, “Hay Ojitos” and “Sólo Un Day”.

Some time later, in 2009, Sergio Lizárraga  collaborated with Fernando Camacho to launch the album known as En preparación . A little later, in 2011, he published the album Amor enfermo ; which was followed by My Reason for Being in 2012. Later, in 2013 he added to his artistic career the album known under the title of 10th anniversary . While in 2014 he delighted us with the album Don’t ask me for forgiveness . Later, in 2015 he presented the musical album En vivo Guadalajara-Monterrey .

The following year, in 2016, Sergio Lizárraga  released What a blessing . For the year 2017 he published The best version of me ; and in 2018 he presented the album Con todas las fuerzas .

This is how in subsequent years Sergio Lizárraga  continued to gather similar successes, being that in the same way he was a winner and nominee in different categories of the awards called: Billboard Music Award, iHeartRadio Music Awards, Latin American Music Awards, Lunas del Auditorio, Premio Latin Grammy, Premio Lo Nuestro, Bandamax Awards, Radio Awards, Premios Juventud and Spotify Awards. 

The year 2020 was one of the most difficult for Sergio Lizárraga, since the arrival of the pandemic made his work decrease but at the same time he was able to spend unique moments with his family, this is how he himself described that stage: “It has been a difficult year for everyone, even for us if we talk about it in question of work. But at the family level it has been a very enriching year, so to speak, because it has allowed us to fight more, unite more and get to know each other more. This year allowed us to go to the Island and to the beach as before, to be able to play, watch movies at home, go by bicycle, more than anything it was the reunion of us as a family and it has been a year, although difficult in other matters, very productive for us as a family.” Leaving aside the bad times, the group Banda MS released the song “What a curse” with  Becky G and Snoop Dogg and then the song “Don’t ask me for forgiveness” with  Carlos Rivera . 

As if all the successes of Sergio Lizárraga, leader of the band MS, were not enough, he is also the CEO and director of the record label that is known today as Lizos Music . With this company, Sergio Lizárraga has promoted the artistic career of other bands and young singers such as Los 2 de la S, Banda La Misma Tierra, Plan de Escape, Gente de Maza, Marilyn Oddesa, and later launched another label called Room 28 in the one that helped artists and influencers of the urban genre and pop music such as  Kenia Os , Ingratax , Mont Pantoja , among others, who were the first to join their ranks to boost their careers as singers.

Of course, we cannot ignore the fact that it was also during the past year 2020 when Sergio Lizárraga ‘s record label received a total of four nominations at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. At the beginning of 2021, the group Banda MS by Sergio Lizárraga premiered the song “Ojos cerrados” in collaboration with Carín León  , which was added to the success “Dos mundos” that the group released with the urban singer  Santa Fe Klan .
