Who is Santa RM?

Christian Jesús Morales Rosas , better known as Santa RM, is a famous singer, rapper, and freestyler who is an exponent of the rap genre and hip hop culture. Santa RM was born on July 20, 1989 in Nogales, Sonora and is currently considered one of the greatest exponents of Mexican rap.

Beginnings in the life of Saint RM

Christian Jesús Morales Rosas, known in the world of entertainment as Santa RM , was born in Nogales, Sonora, on July 20, 1989. During his childhood, the singer affirms that he had little interest in the rap genre, since he had never heard it. in Spanish and only knew one song by the artist Vico C.

His interest in rap was born since Santa RM  was 13 years old, and we know that he was influenced by rappers like OMW and 362 rapaz. At the age of 14, with his friends named Mitchell and Gérman , they formed the musical group GMC, and began to compose songs and record them on cassettes. GMC’s first song was known as “To my rivals”.

In 2004, the now known as  Santa RM  began his foray into the musical world more seriously as a soloist, and adopted the stage name of Caballero MC , alluding to the musical genre to which he was dedicated. A few years later, in 2007, is when he changed his stage name to Santa RM , with which we currently know him. The artist has mentioned that he decided to adopt this name because “santa” is what they called him in high school, being a way to remember those adolescent years during which his interest in the musical genre of rap was born.

It is also during 2007 when he started uploading his music to MySpace and YouTube; thus taking the first step to achieve the fame that he currently enjoys. During the years 2008 to 2010, Santa RM  says that he was able to get a mini recording studio thanks to who at that time was his producer, a childhood friend who used the stage name of Mr.Primo, whose real name was David Sainz Sarabia. , and who died suddenly in January 2011.

After this fateful event,  Santa RM known in those times more by his first name: Jesus; He decided to honor his dear friend with the song “ El Barrio Llora ”, a theme for which he had the support of FK Record’s, which included the song on the album he released that year.

Always remembering the important role his friend played in boosting his musical career, in this same year 2011,  Santa RM was the singer with the most votes in the Energy Versus contest, which earned him a check for the amount of 1500 euros with which he could travel to Barcelona, ​​where he would have the opportunity to record his demo at Lebuque Studios together with the artist Soma. It is also in this same year that the Spanish artist Porta chose him as the best rapper.

Trajectory and history of Santa RM

Santa RM is considered to  begin his professional career in the world of music with the release in 2012 of what was his first album titled Bad Spelling, produced under the JJ Entertainment record label. This album was recorded in Barcelona, ​​and other rappers of the stature of Porta participated in its production, in addition to which we know that Norykko, Smoky and T-Killa also collaborated.

After the success of the album Mala Ortografía, Santa RM also rose to fame in the rap scene in 2012 by reinterpreting his song titled “ Me Gustas ”; The same one that was among the first places on MySpace.

On the date of July 15, 2014, Santa RM  released his second album titled La Cara B worldwide, which he made in collaboration with the artist Kryz, again produced by JJ Entertainment and distributed by Empire. We must mention that the title of this album is due to the place that rap occupies in the Mexican music industry, where it is still considered a taboo genre that record companies do not bet on. Also during this year she appeared alongside the artists Norykko, C-Kan and Kryz in the video “ Give me one hour ”.

The following year, in 2015, Santa RM  was at the head of the México en la Mira festival, which was held on December 15 in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco, under the organization of JJ Entertainment.

The following year, in 2016, on July 2, Santa RM  released to the public the album Ready for whatever comes, which contains 18 songs and includes the participation of artists such as Dánger, Soma, IIluminatik, Porta, Melódico, MC Davo , Aczino , and Emanero. Also included in this album was the remix of the song that was his classic ” Los Más Buscados ” where the artists participated: Emanero, Wisdom, Cryptic, Miausone, Isusko, SBRV, Soru,  Aczino , Nanpa Básico, Hom, Soru , Abram, T-Killa, Porta, Dj Xino, Dj Akrylik, Lebrom and Danger.

It was also in 2016 when Santa RM  was nominated for the Ritmo Urbano award thanks to his album Ready for whatever comes, which entered the “best album” category.

The following year, in 2017  Santa RM released his single known as Bajo Zero, after whose success he appeared in the video “Click Clack” along with III Máscaras. The following year, in 2018, he made an appearance in the video for the song “Mis Demonios” along with MC Davo , while in 2019 he released his album titled Sesiones Perdidas.

The success of Santa RM continued unstoppable in the following years, releasing the songs: Only if it’s with you, Roses and snakes, For mine, One hundred, The most difficult song to write, Today I want to tell you and KRAKEN released in March 2021, between many more songs that placed him as one of the great exponents of rap in Mexico worldwide.
