Pedro Luis Sicard Sánchez , better known solely as Pedro Sicard, is a famous series and soap opera actor who has managed to stand out in several novels such as Do you remember me?, Silvia Pinal in front of you, Las malcriadas, Women in black, Divided love, among many more. Pedro Sicard was born on January 11, 1968 in Havana, Cuba, but it was in Mexico where he really managed to stand out as a leading man in soap operas.

Beginnings in the life of Pedro Sicard

It was in August 1994 when Pedro Sicard left his native Cuba to start his acting career. The first time he came to Mexico it was with a Cuban theater agency doing a tour and he was fascinated with the country so he did not hesitate to stay and try his luck in Mexico as an actor.

In Cuba , Pedro Sicard  did very little television, he did much more theater when he was just a young man and at the age of 20 he participated in the movie ” A Girlfriend for David”, among other small interventions, but he stood out more as a theater actor.

In Mexico , Pedro Sicard  began doing theater but finally enrolled in the Televisa Artistic Training Center to train as an actor, since the only way to appear in the channel’s melodramas was as a first student at said school.

After several years of working for TV Azteca, Pedro Sicard was invited to be part of the television series that would bring the life of actress Silvia Pinal to the screens, a fact that would mark the return of the actor to Televisa after several years. After having been part of the star cast of Azteca, before this event the actor commented: “I was very excited to work at Televisa because I studied there in the CEA special course. Really after doing the course I only did Usurper and First love at a thousand an hour, it was very little. I felt that I owed more to the company. After having had Rosa María Bianchi, Patricia Reyes Spíndola and great teachers as teachers, I had been left with more desire. I am very grateful for the opportunity.”

In January 2021, the telenovela “Te acuerdas de mi” produced by Carmen Armendáriz and featuring Fátima Molina  and Gabriel Soto in the starring roles premiered; the melodrama is a Mexican remake of the Turkish soap opera “La reina de la noche”.

The story of “You remember me” is based around Pedro Cáceres ( Gabriel Soto ) who is married to his boss’s daughter, however there is no love between them but he decides to live in that farce until he finally meets Vera Solís ( Fátima Molina ) whom he gets to know after a business trip, but although his greatest desire is to be with her, if the boss prevents him from abandoning his daughter, otherwise he will have no mercy on him, so Pedro gives up and leaves Vera. After several years they meet again when she unexpectedly reappears as the girlfriend of her father-in-law, unleashing from that moment on the entire main plot of the soap opera. 

In the telenovela “Te acuerdas de mi” the actor Pedro Sicard played Octavio Herrerías , about his character the actor said he was happy to be able to be in soap operas again, he also said; “ It’s a story that has betrayal, it has ambition, it’s very cool, it’s very interesting, my character, ‘Octavio Herrerías’ is a police detective who comes to unravel a bit of the plot of the story and see who the bad guys are ”.
