Who is Nicandro Diaz?

Nicandro Díaz González , better known only as  Nicandro Díaz, is a famous telenovela producer on Televisa who, thanks to his great talent, has been at the forefront of successful melodramas such as “My fortune is to love you, La mexicana y el güero, Hijas de la luna, El Bienamado , Hasta el fin del mundo, Amores, verdaderos”, among others. Producer Nicandro Díaz was born on August 7, 1963 in Monterrey Nuevo León and is currently considered one of the best producers on Televisa.

Beginnings in the life of Nicandro Díaz

Nicandro Díaz González , was born on the date of August 7, 1963 in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. Regarding his family life, we know that his parents are called Nicandro Díaz Oropeza and Delia González Hernández. It is considered that the beginnings of his artistic career occurred when in 1986 he was a production assistant for the soap opera known as Monte Calvario. The following year, in 1987, he returned to work as a production assistant for the first part of the soap opera called Rosa Salvaje.

Producer Nicandro Díaz began in television in 1989 when he was the production coordinator for My Second Mother and Simply María. Later, in 1991 and 1992, he was production coordinator for La pícara soñadora and Carrusel de las Américas.

Later we know that  Nicandro Díaz was as associate coordinator of Para toda la vida (in 1996), My little naughty (1997) and Precious (1998). While in the middle of 1998 he was executive producer of the telenovela known under the title Gotita de amor. The following year, in 1999, he was the executive producer of the soap opera called Alma rebelde.

After a few years being the support of other producers and being only “associate producer” of some others, Nicandro Díaz had the great opportunity to be the executive producer of his own stories and soap operas, Carita de ángel being  the first and from that moment on More hits would come for him like: Long live the children! (2002-2003), Hearts to the limit (2004), Against wind and tide (2005), Distilling love (2007), Tomorrow is forever (2008-2009) and I am your owner (2010). We cannot ignore the fact that in 2003, he was nominated for the INTE Awards in the category of “soap opera of the year” thanks to ¡Vivan los niños!.

Later, in 2007, Nicandro Díaz   was the winner at the TV Adicto Golden Awards with the categories of “best locations”, “best Mexican telenovela” and “special award for the great telenovela of the year” thanks to the production of Destilando amor where he had as actors  Sergio Sendel ,  Martha Julia ,  Ana Patricia Rojo , among others. 

A little later, in 2008, Nicandro Díaz   turned out to be the winner at the TVyNovelas Awards with the category of “best telenovela” thanks to the production of Destilando amor; as well as he was also a winner at the New York ACE Association of Entertainment Chroniclers Awards for “best soap opera” thanks to the melodrama called Destilando amor. The following year, in 2009, we know that he was at the People en Español Awards with the categories of “best telenovela” and “best rehash” for Mañana es para siempre, a telenovela that made him the winner of the Televisa Cup in the category of “best soap opera”.

The successes for Nicandro Díaz did not stop and if by then he already had many awards, he received one more from the TVyNovelas Awards in the category of “best soap opera” thanks to Mañana es para siempre.

Some time later, in 2012 and until 2013 , Nicandro Díaz  was in charge of the executive production of Amores verdaderas, a melodrama that led him to appear in the New York ACE Association of Entertainment Chroniclers Awards as “best telenovela” as winner; in the Televisa Cup with the same category of “best telenovela” as the winner; at the Bravo Awards and at the TVyNovelas Awards as winner.

Soon after, in 2014,  Nicandro Díaz was executive producer of Hasta el fin del mundo, a telenovela for which he was recognized in 2015 at the Televisa Cup with the category of “best telenovela”; as well as in the Kids Choice Awards as “best favorite series or program”, this novel was starred by  Marjorie de Sousa ,  David Zepeda ,  Claudia Álvarez , among others.

Later, in 2017, he added to his career as a producer of emlodramas the telenovela El Bienamado. While in 2018 Nicandro Díaz was executive producer of Hijas de la luna. We cannot forget that in the same year 2018 he was a winner at the TV Adicto Golden Awards with the category of “best entrance credits” for the soap opera titled Hijas de la luna; Just as we also know that his name was nominated at the TVyNovelas Awards for “best soap opera” thanks to El Bienamado.

Although the producer has always stayed away from scandals, he drew a lot of attention when Nicandro Díaz revealed during an interview that he would not hesitate to offer actor Eleazar Gómez a job after the latter was released after causing damage to one of his girlfriends. and that resulted in prison for him. ” You have to be with the people with whom you have ties. I have ties with him, I have had professional, affective ones. What happened was unfortunate, life goes on,” said the Televisa producer, although his words were not very good received because many thought that what Eleazar Gómez had done in having mistreated his partner was something unforgivable.

The career of producer Nicandro Díaz  was full of successes and by 2021 he was the creator of the story La mexicana y el güero and then the melodrama “My fortune is to love you” would arrive, but in this novel he would suffer the loss of a fundamental piece of his cast when  Carmen Salinas  passed away from a stroke so the producer had no choice but to find a replacement, María Rojo . On the death of “Carmelita” the producer Nicandro Díaz commented; “She was a very lucid, correct, agile-minded person, capable of contributing to the scenes, a great humor that is always appreciated working with people with great humor. It is a great loss in every way.”  This is how in 2022 the producer Nicandro Díaz continued with the recordings of “My fortune is to love you” without Carmen Salinas.
