Mónica Xóchitl Dionne Lazo, better known in the world of entertainment only as Mónica Dionne , was born on February 7, 1967 in Waterbury, Connecticut. She is of our knowledge that she studied the career of Actoral Training in the Nucleus of Theater Studies and later attended an Actoral Improvement workshop.

It is considered that her acting debut came in 1994, when Mónica Dionne  was part of the cast of the soap opera known as Prisionera de amor , where she was in charge of giving life to the character called Teté.

Two years later, from 1996 to 1997, Mónica Dionne  would be part of the cast of the soap opera that was known under the title Nothing Personal , where she gave life to the character of Alicia. It would be the same way in 1996 when she would make her appearance on the big screen with the film known as The Arrival, where she played a reporter, while a short time later, in 1998, she would be in charge of the interpretation of the character of Ornela Cadena in the telenovela known under the title of La casa del naranjo.

By the year 1999 Mónica Dionne  participated in the film known by the name of Sex, modesty and tears , in which we know that she was in charge of interpreting the character of María, this film would be one of the most successful in history of Mexican cinema, he also shared credits with other great acting figures such as; Cecilia Suarez  and  Jorge Salinas .

The following year, in 2000 and until 2001 , Mónica Dionne  would be in charge of giving life to the character of Isela Guzmán in the soap opera known by the name of What is love. While in 2003 she was in charge of giving life to Paloma in the soap opera called Mirada de mujer: El regreso.

Curiously, in a recent interview, actress Mónica Dionne commented that she always wanted to be a cook and that she really wanted to travel to Argentina to do a postgraduate degree in the specialty. But at the same time, she knew that it could be a bit complicated because she wasn’t sure if she could come and go to continue her acting career in Mexico because it was something she didn’t want to leave either. “Besides, since it is far, far away, it is not so easy for them to call me to a project and I can come. I can’t wait to leave, that’s what you work for and you don’t have children (laughs). Eating is my favorite sport, let me be clear: food seems like an amazing universe to me, and when you cook and people like what you do, it’s the best”.

Monica Dionne  in 2020 we could see her in the movie called Crazy for Change , where we could see her act in a plot that revolves around Paulina, a low-class girl, and Paula, a high-class girl, who are best friends and a One day they wake up to the surprise that they have switched bodies. About her character the actress commented at that time;  “I personify a mother worried about her future and sees in her daughter the possibility of increasing her fortune, after being widowed. Her economic standards are very high, which is why she seeks to marry her daughter well in order to maintain her elite in the environment ”.

In mid-2021, Si nos dejan would be released, a Mexican telenovela produced by W Studios together with Lemon Studios for Televisa in 2021, being a new version of the novel created by TV Azteca in 1997 and titled “Mirada de mujer” . The telenovela “Si nos dejan” starred Mayrín Villanueva , Marcus Ornellas and Alexis Ayala, along with Scarlet Gruber as the main antagonist and told the story of a woman entering her old age who realizes that she is not as happy as she is. Despite having money and an apparently happy family, she believed, as if that were not enough, she meets a man younger than her with whom she begins a relationship that will unleash a great confrontation with her entire family.In the novel “If they let us” the actress Monica Dionne played Rebecca.

In the telenovela “Si nos dejan” Mónica Dionne  also shared credits with other great stars and acting figures such as; Susana Dosamantes, Gabriela Spanic, Isabel Burr, Carlos Said , Isidora Vives, Álex Perea , Lore Graniewicz , Amairani Romero, Henry Zakka, Gabriela Carrillo , Elissa Marie Soto Bazán, Ara Saldivar , among others; and although it achieved good audience levels, they were not compared to the phenomenon that was “Mirada de Mujer” which even had a sequel, although without much success.
