Biography of Miguel Bose

Beginnings in the life of Miguel Bosé

Luis Miguel González Bosé, better known in the world of musical entertainment under the name of Miguel Bosé, was born in Panama City, on April 3, 1956. His parents were Luis Miguel Dominguín and Lucía Bosé. It is our knowledge that his father was a famous bullfighter, and that among his ancestors there is a long bullfighting tradition. Luis Miguel was the first son of the couple, who at that time due to his father’s work was in Panama, things being so. that his mother gave birth to what would be the famous singer at the San Fernando Hospital Clinic. The year after his birth, his sister Lucía would come into the world, and later his sister Paola would be born.

Luis Miguel was baptized on July 12 with the filmmaker Luchino Visconti as godfather. This is how he grew up in an environment where art and culture prevailed, his parents being close friends of the famous writer Ernest Hemingway, and also of the painter Pablo Picaso.

In various interviews he has defined his childhood as a lonely stage in his life, surrounded by women and taking refuge in reading. He studied at the French Lyceum in Madrid.
And in the early 1970s he took dance classes, first in London with Lindsay Kemp, then in Paris with Martha Graham, and later in New York with Alvin Ailey. Being at that time of his life when he created the artistic name of Miguel Bosé .

Thus, in 1973 Miguel Bosé fully entered the world of musical entertainment thanks to the influence of the Spanish singer-songwriter known by the name of Camilo Sesto, who composed the first songs he performed. While for the year 1977 he signed a contract with the CBS company under the Epic record label, a company of international stature.

It would be in this same year when he released what would be his first album, in which was the song known by the name of “Linda”, which began to make him gain popularity at that time. They also highlighted the songs “Amiga” and “Mi libertad”, the latter song being the author of the composer Claudio Baglioni, very famous in Latin America and in Spain, and who undoubtedly made the popularity of Miguel Bosé take a great leap .

Trajectory and history of Miguel Bosé

Already in the year 1978 he released his second album entitled Miguel Bosé , and the song “Anna” was the one that began his career internationally. While the following year, in 1979, he released the album titled Chicas!, from which the song “Superman” stood out in a particular way.

Later, in the year 1980, Miguel Bosé released the album titled only as Miguel, of which the singles known under the names of: “Morir de amor”, “Te amaré” and “Olympic Games” stood out. We must point out that on the cover of this album he appeared dressed as a bullfighter, thus paying homage to his father.

The following year, in 1981, he would publish the album that became known under the title of Más allá, although it would not be until the release of the compilation of his previous singles, with the presentation of the song known as “Bravo muchachos”, back in the year 1982, when Miguel Bosé was placed among the top positions on the lists of the most famous singers in countries like Spain and Italy, among other parts of the European continent.

We must point out that it was precisely in this compilation that the song “They are friends” was also released, which represented an unprecedented song in the career of the famous singer until then. It would be around those times that Miguel Bosé  became the godfather of the Mexican musical group known as Timbiriche. Being this way that during his stay in Mexico he had a lot of relationship with the actress Daniela Romo , making productions by the hand of Luis del Llano Macedo.

A short time later, in 1984, he made a radical change in his artistic career, and took charge of producing music aimed at a more mature audience, because although he was doing quite well with music intended for a youth audience, he was already tired of the labeling of her art as “music for girls”; so he changed his vocal register and dedicated himself to producing new music that was influenced by artists like David Bowie or Depeche Mode. However, the CBS record company was not happy with the change in his music, so they made him record, although against his will, the singles known as: “Amante bandido”, “Sevilla”, and “Horizonte de las estrellas”, the same ones that would be included in his new album Bandido, which topped the Spanish charts at the time, without a doubt a great success for Miguel Bose.

Later, in 1986, he would release to the public the album that was known as Salamandra, and the following year, in 1987, he released the album titled (Triple X). What we can point out about these productions is that in the Salamandra album the change in the musical style of Miguel Bosé is already noticeable, highlighting the songs “Aire Soy” and “Nena”; while with the album (Triple X), Miguel Boséit had the objective of conquering the American public, being that songs in English were published on this album, and the production of the same was done in the United States; Among the songs that we can highlight from this album are the songs titled “Lay Down On Me” and “The Eight Wonder”, which despite the fact that they did have some success, did not achieve the repetition that the singer Miguel Bosé expected .

At the beginning of the 1990s  Miguel Bosé would release the album titled Los chicos no lloran, which was followed by the production of Directo ´90. In 1993, he released the album Bajo el signo de Caín to the Spanish market, in which the songs “Si tú no vuelves” and “Nada particular” would stand out. While in 1996 he would release the album known by the name of Laberinto to public knowledge.

And in 1998 he released the album Once ways to put on a hat, which was a tribute to the songs that had been most successful in Latin American culture according to his point of view. The singles “Muro” and “Sólo pienso en ti” stood out from this production.

The following year, in 1999, Miguel Bosé  released a commemorative album of his artistic career to date, which he called The Best of Bosé, where he released two previously unpublished songs: “Hacer por hacer” and “No hay corazón que worth it”.

Already in the middle of the 2000s, Miguel Bosé  would sing along with Ana Torroja on a tour that was known as Girados. The following year, in 2001, he would release the album entitled Sereno. A short time later, in 2004, he would release the album known as Por vos muero.

For the year 2005 he presented 13 new songs on the Velvetina album. While for 2007 the album called Papito was released, where Miguel Bosé  made a duet with several artists, among whom are: Julieta Venegas,  Shakira , Laura Pausini, Ricky Martin, and Paulina Rubio, among others. After this album would come a very successful artistic tour in 2008, from which the album Papitour would come off.

Shortly after, in 2010, it is our knowledge that he published the album Cardio, and after two years, in 2012 he released the album called Papitwo to the public. While in 2013 Miguel Bosé  was present at the Viña del Mar Song Festival where he did a duet with Pablo Alborán on the song “Maybe”, which would be included in the Papitwo album.
The following year, in 2014, he released the album known as Amo, and in 2016 he recorded an Unplugged known as Bosé MTV Unplugged.

A short time later, in 2018  Miguel Bosé  participated in the Viña del Mar Festival, where he presented some categories of the Latin Grammy Awards, but since 2019 he has been somewhat distanced from music, to focus more on participating in projects of philanthropy and political activism.

In June 2021, La Voz on TV Azteca premiered, this being the third Voz to be broadcast consecutively, since La Voz Kids and La Voz Senior had previously been launched on the same channel and at the same time, so many people were upset. because they did not give time to any of the winners to try a musical career and on the contrary, TV Azteca launched another Voice one after the other. In La Voz 2021 the team of coaches was made up of María José  , who had already been in La Voz Kids and La Voz Senior and for the first time they invited the singers Miguel Bosé , Edith Márquez and Jesús Navarro , vocalist of the group Reik.

Miguel Bosé and his conspiracy theories

But not everything would be good for Miguel Bosé because after the pandemic that hit the whole world in the middle of 2020, the artist was the target of harsh criticism, accusations and attacks when he decided to give his point of view on said subject, since he assured that everything was part of a plan to end humanity.

Miguel Bosé decided to defend his denialist theories in an interview, assuring that those responsible for the pandemic were none other than “politicians, doctors, pharmaceuticals and accomplices” in addition to the media, as if that were not enough, he assured that “they will all fall” to the point that there will be “a second Nuremberg trial.”

Regarding his statements , Miguel Bosé assured that he was soaking me more on the subject of the covid so he could know that according to him everything was a farce and a plan to end humanity; “I am a citizen who has a lot of information and who seeks information beyond what they give me, what they want to make me chew and what they give me predigested”, as if that were not enough, he said that the covid vaccine was a deadly weapon and it was the one that would actually kill people.

But when everything seemed to calm down and the virus began to subside, the singer Miguel Bosé attacked again but now the 5G communications network for causing damage to nature and insisted on his theories . “The reality is that I have a nature full of trees and birds out there. There are fewer birds, because 5G is killing all the sparrows, but outside there is a nature full of life and an air that does not contain a trace of viruses “.
