Jorge Gilberto Ramos Ávalos, better known in the journalistic world as Jorge Ramos , was born on March 16, 1958 in Mexico City. It is our knowledge that between 1977 and 1981 he studied Communications at the prestigious Universidad Iberoamericana, and later specialized in journalism and television at the University of California in Los Angeles, to later do a master’s degree in international relations at the Miami University.

The beginnings of his artistic career can be traced back to when he got a job at the XEW and XEX radio stations in Mexico City. Later , Jorge Ramos  collaborated as an editor for the news program known as Antena 5, belonging to the Televisa network, and later he was a reporter for the news program 60 minutes. However, when Televisa censored his first report, Jorge made the decision to move to the United States. This is how we know that he arrived in the city of Los Angeles on the date of October 2, 1983.
