Who is Jorge Ortin?

Jorge Martín Ortín, better known as Jorge Ortín , is a famous series and soap opera actor who, thanks to his talent, has excelled in various acting genres such as comedy, drama, suspense, among others, in addition to participating in Survivor México 2021. Jorge Martín Ortín, better known in the entertainment world only as Jorge Ortín , was born on December 24, 1962 in Mexico City. His parents were the actor Polo Ortín and Olga Rinzo. While he has among his grandparents the famous Leopoldo “El Chato” Ortín and the renowned actress Aurora Campuzano “La Rorra”.

During his adolescence , Jorge Ortín  played sports such as American football, belonging to the “Cuernos Largos” team from the Metropolitan University; and he also excelled in water polo as a member of the Franco-Spanish team. We also know that he loves animals, and that he was very good at horseback riding and camping.

In 1990 Jorge Ortín  would appear in the films known with the titles of: A macho in the young ladies’ reformatory, Unexpected revenge, Corporate mobsters, Judicial brutality, La Tercia de la muerte, La Mujer del Tahúr, and Investigador privado… muy privado . The following year, in 1991, he would appear in the film Contragolpe, and also in the film known as Operación Narcóticos, this being where he gave life to the role of Catalino Ruvulcaba. Also, during this same year we could see him in Snake and Weekend in Garibaldi; and finally he would give life to “El Greñas” in Delincuentes de lujo.

Later, in the year 1992 Jorge Ortín  would appear in the cinematographic tapes known with the titles of: The fury of an avenger, Borrachas de pulquería, and The fastest file in the west. Later, in 1993 he would be in El fisgón del hotel, A brave norteña giving life to Agent Islas; later, in the same year he would give life to the character of David Coleman in Tragedy in Waco, Texas, we could also enjoy his performance in Bulldog and El Ráfaga.

After the success of the first season, which earned the acceptance of many viewers, Survivor Mexico returned in 2021 with a new version where, unlike the first season, it would be “famous” who would be participating in this TV Azteca reality show, experiencing lack of food, great tests and above all trying to survive extreme and precarious situations; Jorge Ortín was a participant in Survivor Mexico 2021. 

The cast of Survivor 2021 was made up of Kristal Silva , Denisha , Cyntia González , Bella de la Vega , Alejandra Toussaint , Brissia , Bárbara Falconi , Tania Niebla , Natalia Alcocer, Adianez Hernández , Aranza Carreiro and Daniela Torres on the women’s side, while the gentlemen were Dennis Arana , Pablo Martí , Gabo Cuevas , Gary Centeno , Daniel Cortés , Julio Barraza, Eduardo Barquín, Jorge Ortín, Guillermo Dorantes , Sergeant RAP, Paco Pizaña and Carlos ‘Chicken’ Muñoz , while the driver was the famous commentator Carlos Guerrero “El Warrior” . For this program they all traveled to the Dominican Republic, for its crystal clear waters and the vegetation it possesses but above all taking the pertinent sanitary measures since the coronavirus pandemic was still going on at that time.

From the first week the Survivor program reached very good audience levels, even surpassing the first season , as if that were not enough, the program that competed with it on Televisa “Inframundo” was canceled just two weeks after its premiere due to the failure that resulted.

In the first week in Survivor, the one who was eliminated was the journalist  Gabo Cuevas who had conflicts with his colleagues because he was apparently very “honest”, but without a doubt the one who drew a lot of attention and stole the spotlight was “Bella de la Vega” who without Undoubtedly, she gave the program a lot of ratings due to her peculiar way of being but not so nice to her colleagues who always nominated her but she was even able to take out Daniela Torres , until in the third week finally ” Bella de la Vega ” was eliminated.

After the departure of ” Bella de la Vega ” everyone thought that the problems would have come to an end but that was when they just started. The fourth eliminated was Carlos ‘Chicken’ Muñoz and then in an unexpected twist two new members joined the Jaguares and Halcones teams, “Fernando Velez” an Ethologist and “Valeria Coyt” an Engineer by profession, the fifth eliminated was  Brissia and so on. they continued dating more in the competition, but ultimately Jorge did not win. 

 Jorge Ortín scored a great success in his professional career when the third season of  “Se renta cuartos” premiered, a Mexican television series initially broadcast on Comedy Central, Paramount+ and later on channel 5 of Televisa. In the series “Rooms for rent” a family with a lot of money due to fate goes bankrupt so they have to move to an old house in a humble neighborhood in Mexico City, where they must rent some rooms to survive. but above all, deal with the different personalities that will end up staying in that place.

“Rooms are rented” became a great success for Comedy Central, which is why Televisa later acquired the rights to be able to broadcast it in its programming. As if that were not enough, it managed to have several seasons due to the good reception it received from the public, also without doubt gave Jorge Ortín great success .
