Erika Ellice Sotres Starr, better known by the stage name of Issabela Camil in the world of acting, was born on February 6, 1969 in Mexico City. She is the daughter of Armando Sotres and the American model Tony Starr. In the same way we must point out that she is the stepsister of the famous actor Jaime Camil .

Issabela Camil showed interest in acting from an early age, and because of this she made the decision to fulfill her dream of being an actress, for which she entered the Televisa Art Education Center (CEA) in 1995. 

It was in a recent interview where Issabela Camil told how her beginnings in acting were ; “My mother had many altruism projects, to which she belonged. I was 9 years old and she took me with her to collect some tickets from a foundation and in that office there were some producers who asked her: ‘Hey, Tony, what are you doing? in all this, don’t you know a little girl who sings and acts?
