María Esmeralda Pimentel Murguía, better known in show business only as Esmeralda Pimentel , was born in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, Mexico, on September 8, 1989. Her father is originally from the Dominican Republic and her mother is Mexican. Being very young, back in 2007, when she was 18 years old,  Ella Esmeralda Pimentel  participated in the contest known as Nuestra Belleza México, in which she represented Zapotlán, and was awarded third place.

In October 2007, Esmeralda Pimentel  was the winner along with Lupita González, represented Jalisco in the contest, and was recognized as second finalist, being surpassed only by Elisa Nájera.

When she was 19 years old,  Esmeralda Pimentel began to appear in television commercials and would also be hired as a model for different clothing brands in our country. Later she would make the decision to enter the Center for Artistic Education (CEA) of Televisa, with the objective of training professionally as an actress.

It is considered that the artistic career of the actress Esmeralda Pimentel began in 2009, when the opportunity to participate in the telenovela known as Verano de amor came into her life , whose production was in charge of Pedro Damián, who he gave her to interpret the character called Ada. We cannot ignore the fact that Esmeralda Pimentel  also appeared on television programs such as the one known as Como dice el dicho , where she gave life to the role of a girl named Sandra.

We have to say that Esmeralda Pimentel  would participate in this production until 2014, when the character of Lucía Gaxiola Murillo would come into her life in the telenovela entitled El color de la pasión , which is based on the original story whose authors are José Cuauhtemoc Blanco and Maria del Carmen Peña. And at the TVyNovelas Awards she would be nominated in the “best antagonistic actress” category thanks to her excellent performance in De que te quiero, te quiero, where she shared with other stars such as  Juan Diego Covarrubias ,  Carlos Ferro , among others. 

Along with her successful career as an actress, Esmeralda Pimentel  has stood out throughout her artistic career for her philanthropic work, giving voice to non-profit companies, such as the one known as Hábitat México , where he participated in a particular way in the subdivision called “Brigada Rosa”. Regarding this organization, its main objective is to bring together people from various social strata to draw public attention to the situation of not having a safe roof, inviting viewers to participate in actions that change the reality of these people.
