Who is Erik Diaz?

Erik Alejandro Díaz Aguilar , better known only as Erik Díaz, is a famous Mexican actor of series and soap operas who, thanks to his great talent, has stood out in important television projects such as “This story sounds familiar to me, For loving without law, Without your eyes, My adorable curse , Simply María, Señor Acero, The rich also cry” , among many others. Actor Erik Díaz was born on June 17, 1988 in Colima and currently has a rising and successful acting career in Mexico.

Beginnings in the life of Erik Díaz

In a recent interview, it was Erick Díaz himself who commented on how he became interested in being an actor because his mother, working in a cultural center, took him with her and there she put him in several courses, one of them was theater and it was there where he fell in love with that art; “My mother worked at the Casa de Cultura de Colima and since I am the youngest of five siblings, I had no choice but to go with her to her office; she there she put me in various art workshops to entertain me. One summer when I entered the theater, I knew from the first moment that this was what I wanted to do all my life”.

Although at that moment the “what they will say” weighed heavily on him due to being an actor and the clichés and taboos that exist around that career, Erik Díaz  decided it was better to continue with his basic studies and study Education and Industrial Design but later he learned that his vocation was in acting and he left everything to follow his true dreams.

A short time later and to consolidate his career as an actor , Erik Díaz went to the casting to be part of the Centro de Educación Artística (CEA) on Televisa to study “Performing Arts” and when they told him that he had stayed, in 2007 he left his home state of Colima to go to settle in Mexico City to take advantage of this great opportunity because I knew that there were thousands and thousands of people who were always waiting for an opportunity to study at the CEA.

Once Erik Díaz finished his acting studies, he was ready to face any acting challenge that life threw at him because he already had the necessary bases and tools to stand out in acting and hopefully in other countries.

Erik Díaz’s acting debut took place in “Central de abasto” and the telenovela “Camaleones”, a soap opera in which he shared credits with other stars such as  Belinda ,  Sherlyn , Paul Stanley , among others; however, the soap opera turned out to be a failure. But a year later the story would change and Erik Díaz would be part of the cast of the successful novel “La fuerza del destino” where he played Antolín Galván and later he would have an important role in the melodrama “A refuge for love”.

It should be noted that thanks to his character as Lorenzo performed in the novel “A refuge for love” , the actor Erik Díaz was nominated for the TVyNovelas awards in the category of “Best Male Revelation”.

Other of the first programs in which the actor Erik Díaz participated was in “Como dice el dicho” and in the highly criticized and pointed out short stories of “La Rosa de Guadalupe”, which have always been highly attacked for making chapters with stories taken to the extreme or quite unreal.

Throughout his great acting career, the talented Erik Díaz has participated in a large number of soap operas and series in which he has shown that he really has great quality to give all his characters great realism, some of the projects in which has patriciated have been ” A refuge for love, Lying to live, I love you I love you, Forever my love, May God forgive you, Mrs. steel, Simply Mary, My adorable curse, Without your gaze, For loving without Law , This story sounds familiar to me”, among many others.

In 2019 , the actor Erik Díaz  participated in the play “A Clockwork Orange” which was a challenge for him but at the same time a great pleasure because he was able to play five totally different characters, which meant something important to him in his career as actor so made it known at the time; “With these five completely different characters, I play seven times a week and have a lot of fun, going between bipolar, calm and punchy. The newsboy is the only one in the work that shows us a normal and kind person; he also interacts with the public and marks a small respite for the public among so much violence ”.

His great acting performance made Erik Díaz establish himself as one of the most important television stars in recent years, not only because of his great passion for his work but also because of his dedication and great acting ability, which is why he also began to try his luck. In the series, theater and movies, some of the most outstanding were “Mimesis, Trapeze artist, El Manual y Central de abastos, A Clockwork Orange”, among many others.

In 2011 it was the singer and participant of La Voz México Paulina Aguilar who said that she was the girlfriend of actor Erik Díaz ;  “I’ve been here for three years, I met him at ‘Central de Abastos’, he’s an actor and his name is Erik Díaz, we get along very well and everything is very cool, he’s going to start a novel, he’ll act in ‘A refuge for Love’”. At that time Paulina commented that although at first they didn’t get along at all, love blossomed later because Erik took her many places and he won her over by taking her to a play where he asked her to be his girlfriend and she accepted, however later No more was known about their relationship, so it was assumed that they had broken up.
