Who is Daniel Cortes?

Daniel Cortes is a famous driver and high-performance athlete who in 2021 became one of the participants in Survivor México on TV Azteca. Daniel Cortes was born on March 23, 1980 in Mexico City and has also appeared in various programs such as La Academia, Ellas arriba, María de todos los Ángeles, among others.

Beginnings in the life of Daniel Cortes

Daniel Cortés, also known as “El Travieso” or “Dani” in show business, was born in Mexico City. Since he was a child, he showed interest in sports and the fitness lifestyle. In this regard, in an interview, Cortés has expressed that he considers that he had a happy childhood, and that his taste for sports came from his father.

Since he was 15 years old, he has self-taught himself in the field of nutrition and fitness. Daniel Cortés  has put his knowledge to the test with himself and with the people who consult him, seeing the results. Here it is worth clarifying that although he is very involved in the world of nutrition, Daniel considers it more of a hobby, and the career he studied professionally was acting, at nothing more and nothing less than the prestigious Televisa Center for Artistic Education. (CEA).

Between the ages of 18 and 22, Daniel Cortés  appeared with commercials, parades, and was the representative of Mexico in a contest called Manhunt, based in Manila, Philippines, which had an international reach. Curiously,  Daniel Cortés studied 5 semesters of the career in systems computer skills at Tec de Monterrey but finally he knew that this was not his thing. 

Thanks to his knowledge in nutrition, Daniel Cortés  would be hired by TV Azteca to include him in the sports and exercise section of a morning program. We can consider that this was his debut, since after his appearance on the screen with this opportunity, the doors for several more programs would open for him.

In 2010 Daniel Cortés  participated in the contest known as Desafío, in which he would become known for his outgoing personality and carefree of criticism. He disclosed that he divided his time between training in martial arts and making artistic tattoos. He has the principle of life to accept changes and sees adaptation as the key to success.

In this same year we are also aware that he participated in the competition known as the Golden Bracelet 2010. We cannot leave aside the controversy that arose during his participation in the Challenge due to the opinion of his colleagues who described his attitude as conflictive. , reason to which they attribute the cause of their exit from the contest by decision of the judges. Had he not had those attitudes,  Daniel Cortés would have been able to reach the final.

This is how in 2010, Daniel Cortés stayed at the level known as “Fusion”. He would be a participant in the Challenge again in 2013, where he passed to the “legend” category, and on this occasion, apparently with a better attitude towards his fellow competitors, we are aware that he reached “Stage 2”.

Already working in television programs,  Daniel Cortés would share his experience and his learning from more than 20 years of experience. It is also to our knowledge that he has served as a television host on Noticiero Hechos am, Poker de Reinas, the competition program known as Para todos, and has been a teacher at L a Academia, los del 13, Ellas arriba, and Sportism, among many others that would come later.

As a speaker , Daniel Cortés  would have the opportunity to perform when called by different companies to help improve the performance of workers by taking care of their diet and habits. In the same way, he has gone to schools to give talks on fitness care for both students and teachers.

Later,  Daniel Cortés had the opportunity to appear in one of the episodes of the acclaimed television series “María de todos los Ángeles” sharing credits with Mara Escalante and Ariel Miramontes , among others. 

Something that is noteworthy about the artistic career of Daniel Cortés is that his main mission, almost the beginning of his life, is to help people by sharing his knowledge, and how, through a balance between food and exercise, you can have an excellent quality of life.

Daniel Cortés  continued to have a prolific career due to his statuesque and well-worked body, which is why many people also came to place him as the main figure in different commercials for exercise equipment as well as sports infomercials. As if that were not enough,  Daniel Cortés launched his channel youtube where he currently continues to give exercise routines for all his fans and followers.

After the success of the first season, which earned the acceptance of many viewers, Survivor Mexico returned in 2021 with a new version where, unlike the first season, it would be “famous” who would be participating in this TV Azteca reality show, experiencing lack of food, great tests and above all trying to survive extreme and precarious situations; Daniel Cortes was one of the participants of Survivor Mexico 2021.

The cast of Survivor 2021 was made up of Kristal Silva , Denisha , Cyntia González , Bella de la Vega , Alejandra Toussaint , Brissia , Bárbara Falconi , Tania Niebla , Natalia Alcocer , Adianez Hernández , Aranza Carreiro and Daniela Torres on the women’s side, while the gentlemen were Dennis Arana , Pablo Martí , Gabo Cuevas , Gary Centeno , Daniel Cortés ,Julio Barraza , Eduardo Barquín , Jorge Ortín , Guillermo Dorantes , Sergeant RAP , Paco Pizaña and Carlos ‘Chicken’ Muñoz , while the driver was the famous commentator Carlos Guerrero “El Warrior” . For this program they all traveled to the Dominican Republic, for its crystal clear waters and the vegetation it possesses but above all taking the pertinent sanitary measures since the coronavirus pandemic was still going on at that time.

From the first week the Survivor program reached very good audience levels, even surpassing the first season , as if that were not enough, the program that competed with it on Televisa “Inframundo” was canceled just two weeks after its premiere due to the failure that resulted.

In the first week in Survivor, the one who was eliminated was the journalist  Gabo Cuevas who had conflicts with his colleagues because he was apparently very “honest”, but without a doubt the one who drew a lot of attention and stole the spotlight was “Bella de la Vega” who without Undoubtedly, she gave the program a lot of ratings due to her peculiar way of being but not so nice to her colleagues who always nominated her but she was even able to take out Daniela Torres , until in the third week finally ” Bella de la Vega ” was eliminated.

After the departure of ” Bella de la Vega ” everyone thought that the problems would have come to an end but that was when they just started. The fourth eliminated was Carlos ‘Chicken’ Muñoz and then in an unexpected twist two new members joined the Jaguares and Halcones teams, “Fernando Velez” an Ethologist and “Valeria Coyt” an Engineer by profession, the fifth eliminated was  Brissia and so on. they continued to date more in the competition.
