Although Chef Herrera was born in Houston, Texas from a very young age, he lived his life in Monterrey where he worked on his family’s cattle ranch; When the time came to decide what he was going to do, he thought about studying medicine and finally if he was studying it for two years and even biology but then he realized that it was not his because his true passion was in the kitchen. As a child he learned to play the guitar and jarana to such a degree that if he had not dedicated himself to cooking he would be a musician.
