But that would not be all the bad news for the host and journalist since 2020 was not an easy year because in addition to Covid-19,  Ana María Alvarado was diagnosed with a brain tumor . However, something that is worth admiring about her person is that she has tried to maintain a positive attitude at all times. Regarding this news, Ana María Alvarado came to comment on how she found out about her tumor : “I went to the doctor because I was very worried about my health and I thought I was going to be away for a while, because they told me I had a tumor. I do have a tumor, on the right side, a benign tumor, fortunately, since I thought it was going to be malignant and that they were going to operate on me.”This diagnosis was triggered after he began to notice strange symptoms in his life, and he was even more scared when he suffered an alleged ischemic attack, which finally turned out to be epilepsy. When giving this news she was sheltered by  Talina Fernández  who assured her that everything would be fine because she went through the same thing and she had emerged victorious from the tumors she had. 

In 2021, the entertainment expert,  Ana María Alvarado ,  both she and her husband were involved in a controversy because they had dealings with a man named Raúl Beyruti, also known as “king of outsourcing”, who had had problems with the law, but she stayed away and decided not to talk about it.
