Ignacio Matías Spallatti , better known as Ecko, is a famous singer, songwriter and freestyler within the Latin rap and trap genre. Ecko was born on June 7, 1999 in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is currently considered one of the greatest rappers within the Argentine and international music scene.

Ecko ‘s first steps were with freestyle , with fast and furious improvisation, in different plazas in Buenos Aires. His participation in El Quinto Escalón, the mythical battle of roosters, was his takeoff platform. They were held every other Sunday in Parque Rivadavia in the Caballito neighborhood. It was there that Ecko was encouraged to rap in front of a large audience, at just 15 years old. “I was looking forward to each participation with great enthusiasm. I couldn’t wait for Sunday to arrive to escape the routine,” he recalled.

His style went beyond classic rap. He became interested in other sounds such as the urban world. “I don’t want to put any label on what I’m doing. Several of us started in rap, we went a bit to reggaeton, and we even joined trap. Ecko again participated in the 2017 Ego Fest because he did not want people to get a bad impression of him when he did not get very far in previous years but was again eliminated by Wos , but before he managed to be a very good competitor against Sony. He then participated again in the Fifth Step: The Final, where he eliminated Dani in the 16th, Tuque in the 8th but he could not go any further since in the quarterfinals the rapper MKS destroyed him.

For the first time , Ecko decided to sign up for Red Bull Nacional 2017. At first, he beat Peqo in the round of 16, he beat Sony, but again in the semifinal, Wos proved to be better than him and eliminated him. He also participated with Klan and Dam in Rosario Underfree, losing in the Final against Lit Killah, Narciso and Lazer. In 2017  Ecko was also the year in which he released his musical theme Dorado which to date is considered one of his biggest hits with more than 50 million views in two years.

In 2018 he made several exhibition battles with Lit Killah in Spain, facing BTA and Zasko, Blon and Force, MC Men and Walls, Khan and BTA, then he had a participation in God Level Argentina 2018, where he was eliminated by Sony in 8th round. . From there  Ecko has dedicated himself completely to his music, where he has done well, releasing several well-received songs such as Rompe, Bye, Ice, Candela, Rebota (along with Khea , Seven Kayne  and Iacho), among other songs.

If anyone believed that “Superman without a cape” was not missing anything to be one of the best trap songs in 2020, Blunted Vato showed that he could improve it even more, making a remix together with Muerejoven , John C and Ecko. “Superman Sin Capa REMIX” was released on March 20, 2020, becoming not only one of the most popular songs of the moment, but also one of the most successful songs in Blunted Vato ‘s musical career, achieving more than 10 million in less than a month. of views.
