María del Perpetuo Socorro Guadalupe Susana Dosamantes Rul Riestra better known only as Susana Dosamantes is a famous film and television actress who in her long artistic career has excelled in projects such as El vuelo de victoria, Tres veces ana, Corazón apasionado and If they leave us . Susana Dosamantes was born on January 9, 1948 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico and has two children, Enrique Rubio and pop singer Paulina Rubio.

María del Perpetuo Socorro Guadalupe Susana Dosamantes Rul Riestra, better known in the entertainment world of acting only as Susana Dosamantes , was born on January 9, 1948 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. She is the daughter of Mario Dosamantes Rul and María Elena Susana Riestra Alcaraz.

It was in 1968 when Susana Dosamantes made her debut on the big screen with the film known as Remolino de pasiones , and we cannot forget the film called Los recuerdos del porvenir. While the following year, in 1969, she would participate in the films Seven Eves for an Adam, Marriage and Sex, Peach Blossom, and Confessions of a Teenager.

During the 1970s we would see her appear in the films of: Río Lobo, The Guitar Game, Duel at Sunset, Kaliman, the Incredible Man, The Red Mare, Jalisco Never Loses, The Impressive One, Blood Brothers, Kalimán vs. . The Sinister World of Humanañón, Adventures of a White Horse and a Boy, A Home of Our Own, and Blacker Than Night (where it is our knowledge that she was in charge of interpreting the character of Aurora). We must not forget that during this decade Susana Dosamantes  would also appear as part of the cast of telenovelas known by the names of: Italian girl comes to marry, The twins, The building across the street (where she appeared as Celia), El carriage(in which the time of the Second Mexican Empire and the Reform is represented, the same in which he appeared with the character of Concepción), La hiena (as Dayanara), Ana del aire (as Norma), The driver (as Pilar), The Unforgivable (with the character of Ángela Fonseca Flores de Vidal), and Corazón Salvaje (with the character of Aimée Molnar de D´Autremont).

In the following decade, the 1980s, Susana Dosamantes  was participating as part of the cast of telenovelas known as: Aprendiendo a amar (in which she was in charge of the interpretation of Teresa Ibáñez Robles), Infamia (in the one that gave life to the character of Lidia Santana), Amalia Batista (giving life to the main character of the same name), and Morir para vivir (where she played the character of Rosaura Guzmán de Iturralde). While in the cinematographic field he stood out for his appearance in the films that became known under the titles of: How green was my duke!, The sex of the rich, Hired assassin, The pleasure of revenge, Squad, and Keiko in danger.

The following year, in 2012,  Susana Dosamantes played Úrsula Villacastín, widow of Campos Miranda, in the telenovela called Corazón apasionado and, after a break,  Susana Dosamantes  in 2016 made her appearance on the big screen with the film known as El arrival of Conrado Sierra. While in the field of soap operas we would see her in the production called Tres veces Ana, giving life to the character of Ernestina Jaramillo Crespo widow of Rivadeneira, in this melodrama she shared credits with other stars such as  Angelique Boyer ,  Sebastián Rulli ,  David Zepeda ,  Sachi Tamashiro ,  Leticia Perdigón , among others.

The following year, in 2017  Susana Dosamantes was in El vuelo de la Victoria with the character of Gloria viuda de Santibáñez y Calzada, we cannot forget that it would also be in 2017 when she would begin to make her appearance in the play known under the title of His Mother’s Daughters and in 2018 he appeared on the big screen with the film known by the name of The Ghost of My Girlfriend with  William Levy ,  Brandon Peniche , among others.

In mid-2021, Si nos dejan is a Mexican telenovela produced by W Studios together with Lemon Studios for Televisa in 2021, being a new version of the novel created by TV Azteca in 1997 and titled “Mirada de mujer” . The telenovela “Si nos dejan” starred Mayrín Villanueva , Marcus Ornellas and Alexis Ayala, along with Scarlet Gruber as the main antagonist and told the story of a woman entering her old age who realizes that she is not as happy as she is. Despite having money and an apparently happy family, she believed, as if that were not enough, she meets a man younger than her with whom she begins a relationship that will unleash a great confrontation with her entire family.In the novel “If they leave us” the actress Susana Dosamantes played Eva Montiel.

In the telenovela “Si nos dejan” Susana Dosamantes  also shared credits with other great stars and acting figures such as; Susana Dosamantes, Gabriela Spanic, Isabel Burr, Carlos Said , Isidora Vives, Álex Perea , Lore Graniewicz , Amairani Romero, Henry Zakka, Gabriela Carrillo , Elissa Marie Soto Bazán, Ara Saldivar , among others; and although it achieved good audience levels, they were not compared to the phenomenon that was “Mirada de Mujer” which even had a sequel, although without much success.

Regarding the love life of Susana Dosamantes, back in the year 1969 she married the Spanish lawyer Enrique Rubio González ; fruit of whose union would be born her children known by the names of Enrique and Paulina Rubio Dosamantes. However, Susana and Enrique made the decision to separate back in 1974.

Subsequently, Susana Dosamantes  would decide to give love a second chance with the businessman and audiovisual producer, also of Spanish nationality called Carlos Vasallo Tomé. However, this marriage would not last either, and she would end up divorcing in the year 1988 but she would later find love again in Luis Rivas.

Susana Dosamantes  is the grandmother of: Andrea Nicolás Vallejo Nájera Rubio, and Eros Bazúa Rubio, who are descendants of her daughter Paulina Rubio, who is a successful singer, sharing with her the same passion and vocation for show business.
