In his long career as an entertainment reporter, Ricardo Manjarrez  has also had to cover important events in the world of Mexican entertainment, such as the death of Juan Gabriel and Jacobo Zabludovksy. His work earned him the affection of the public, placing him as one of the most prominent reporters in the media, being recognized by his own colleagues and artists.

In 2020, his consolidated career as a reporter took a turn when he joined the management team of the Ventaneando program. This leap into driving, as he himself has commented, occurred unexpectedly and fortuitously. This was due to the fact that, one afternoon at the beginning of 2020, for personal reasons Daniel Bisogno could not go to the Ajusco television station to host the program and  Ricardo Manjarrez entered the Ventaneando program as host. 

Undoubtedly ” Ventaneando ” became, over the years, the most successful program focused on shows and show business in Mexico in the whole country because although other television stations have created similar programs such as “La botana, First hand, Cuéntamelo ya, La Oreja, Con todo”, among others, “ Ventaneando ” has been the only one that has managed to emerge victorious for almost three decades, while its competitions end up going off the air.

Throughout all the years of Ventaneando there have been several drivers who have been in charge of the program, among the most prominent have been Daniel Bisogno , Pedro Sola , Linet Puente , Mónica Castañeda , Ricardo Manjarrez , Rosario Murrieta and of course the ringleader from the Pati Chapoy program ; A few years ago, Mónica Garza , Jimena Pérez “La Choco” and Atala Sarmiento also stood out .

Due to the coronavirus contingency, the drivers rotated so that one was in the forum while the rest linked via zoom. That day Daniel was in charge of broadcasting the program from the forum and in his absence, the producer decided to entrust  Ricardo Manjarrez  with the task of hosting that afternoon. His performance that day was liked by the production and the other drivers, who decided to incorporate him into the presenter staff. Since then the public has been happy with the incorporation of him and they have not been slow to express it on the social networks of the program and on the personal profiles of  Ricardo Manjarrez .

Although  Ricardo Manjarrez has been driving for a relatively short time, he has already found himself in controversy. This occurred shortly after he was incorporated into the Ventaneando driving team, since it was said that his annexation was due to the fact that they were contemplating him as the replacement for Daniel Bisogno .

The rumors arose because the latter was involved in a strong controversy over risque statements issued by the driver against an Argentine journalist. These statements were classified as misogynistic and homophobic by a sector of the public, who disagreed with Daniel Bisogno continuing on the Ventaneando program and saw  Ricardo Manjarrez as the perfect replacement. These rumors were denied by Ricardo himself, who claims to have a very good relationship with all of his colleagues and even claimed to be a close friend of Bisogno.

Although 2020 was a good year in professional terms for the driver, not everything was hunky-dory in his life. On July 9, 2020,  Ricardo Manjarrez announced that he had tested positive for covid-19 and although his symptoms were mild, he had to remain in isolation for 45 days. Finally, on August 20, with a negative diagnosis, he was able to rejoin the management of Ventaneando and his activities as a reporter, receiving many messages of support and congratulations.

Almost nothing is known about Ricardo Manjarrez ‘s love life , except for his own statements in a capsule made for Ventaneando, where the driver assures that no one is currently dating and added that he does not consider himself a person looking for romance, although he says he is not closed to love, having a partner is not something that is in their immediate plans. In the same way, as an anecdote, he revealed that the most unusual place in which he has been intimate with someone has been in the back of a car.
