In mid-2021,  Si nos dejan is a Mexican telenovela produced by W Studios together with Lemon Studios for Televisa in 2021, being a new version of the novel created by TV Azteca in 1997 and titled “Mirada de mujer” . The telenovela “Si nos dejan” starred Mayrín Villanueva , Marcus Ornellas and Alexis Ayala , along with Scarlet Gruberas the main antagonist and told the story of a woman entering her old age who realizes that she is not as happy as she thought despite having money and an apparently happy family, as if that were not enough, she meets a man younger than her with whom he begins a relationship that will unleash a great confrontation with his entire family. In the novel ” If they let us ” the actress  Paola Toyos played Prudencia.

About her participation in “If they leave us” the actress  Paola Toyos  commented on the possible comparisons that would be made with the original version; “I understand that it is a remake and I don’t think about overcoming anything, it was a different time back then, today the direction is very different, the photography and more than overcoming we have to do our best and get the project out.”
