Matías Novoa Burgos, better known in the entertainment world as simply Matías Novoa , was born on June 14, 1980 in the city of Valparaíso, Chile; his father works as an executive in Miami, Florida, United States; while his mother is called Alejandra Burgos Azancot. He completed his basic studies at the Sagrados Corazones de Viña del Mar schools, at the María Auxiliadora School, and at the Maritime University. 

Before formally entering the world of acting, Matías Novoa  began his artistic career as a model and in 2006 he married the famous Chilean singer Daniela Castillo. Soon after, he moved to Mexico with his wife, to take off internationally in their respective careers. 

However, although they married very much in love, the young marriage did not prosper, and Daniela Castillo decided to return to Chile, leaving  Matías Novoa alone in Mexico. So Matías decided to venture into the world of modeling in our country, and that is how the chance came into his life that he was seen by an agent who worked for TV Azteca, who made him the proposal to study acting.
