Who is Esteban Arce?

Esteban Arce Herrera , better known as Esteban Arce, is a famous Mexican television host and radio announcer who, in his long career, has excelled in a large number of important projects such as N XCLUSIVA, 52 minutos, Tercera Emisión, Expreso de la Mañana, among others. . Esteban Arce was born on March 17, 1962 in Mexico City and is married to his current wife, María de las Nieves Santisteban, with whom he had 3 children.

Beginnings in the life of Esteban Arce

Esteban Arce Herrera, better known in show business only as Esteban Arce , came into the world on March 17, 1962 in Mexico City. It is our knowledge that his mother responded to the name of María del Consuelo Herrera, and his father was called José Luis Arce. We also know that he has four siblings named José Luis, Eduardo, Adriana and Alejandra.

Esteban Arce completed his basic studies at the Instituto México and at the Centro Universitario México (better known by its acronym: CUM). Since he was a child he was very passionate about the sport of soccer, and the first shirt he wore became that of his current team: the Atlante Soccer Club. His university studies were carried out at the Universidad Iberoamericana, with a degree in Industrial Relations. Soon after, he became part of the Atlante Soccer Club, which at that time was owned by the IMSS.

Later Esteban Arce  was sent to the Oaxtepec soccer club, and later he went to Deportivo Toluca, after becoming the owner of his own letter, however, and although it seemed that he had a promising future in the world of soccer, at that time he suffered an injury that forced him to retire from the sport.

At the age of 24, Esteban Arce worked on a cargo ship that took a route from Tampico to Brazil. Later, some friends invited him to work at the Señor Frogs restaurant chain in Miami, the city where he lived years later.

This is how the beginnings of his artistic career have been situated back in the year 1985, when Esteban Arce  began to make promotionals for WFM 96.9 radio. It would be in that radio station where he would meet Jorge “El Burro” Van Rankin and  José Ramón San Cristóbal “El Estaca” . While for the year 1993 he became known in the morning program that was known under the name of El cañón del Zopilote, which was broadcast from Monday to Friday.

Given the success of this program, in the same year of 1993, Guillermo del Bosque, a television producer, invited Esteban Arce and Jorge “El Burro” Van Rankin to participate in a program very similar to what was done on the radio. but now in television format, on the channel known by the name of Telehit , specifically we are aware that the program was called “El Calabozo” , and it lasted 6 years.

With the passage of time and after the success of the program, it became the property of Televisa, being at that time when Sammy Pérez would be discovered, who would be included in the program, increasing the rating for his particular way of speaking; Later,  Esteban Arce  had a participation in the program known as Trapitos al Sol , where he would be for a year, with Maxine Woodside , Juan José Origel and Poncho Vera as companions .

After finishing said program , Esteban Arce became part of the team of conductors of the recently created radio station known by the name of Exa FM, owned by the MVS Radio chain and in 1993 he was a collaborator in Corporate Image, and participated in the creation of channels 2 and 5 of Televisa.

It is at this same time when Esteban Arce  was living in the United States thanks to a job offer from Univision with the position of creative consultant for a period of one year, he also began to do special coverage at the Viña del Mar Festival in Chile during the years of 1993 and 1997, as if that were not enough, covered the soccer World Cups in the United States in 1994, and in France in 1998.

A short time later , Esteban Arce  returned to Mexico to work at Guillermo Cañedo’s company known as ALO, an internet site that would not survive beyond 2001. It is then that he is called again in the United States, this time by the NBC network known as Telemundo, where he was given the position of the Cotorreano programtogether with Mauricio Zeilik for a period of 4 years. It is our knowledge that at that same time is when he was working in the field of radio with the radio station Radio 13, in a program known by the name of Loco Mundo Internacional, which was a news program mixed with acid humor. , and where we know that he worked alongside Enrique Muñoz León, José Luis Jiménez Patiño, Eduardo Saint-Martin, and Enrique Vigil. However, due to a problem with the company , Esteban Arce  was forced to resign.

However, this did not mean the end of his career, as he returned to Mexico and in our country Esteban Arce  became the host of the sports program called México Lindo y Futbol, ​​which belonged to the GolTV sports network. While back in 2002 he was in charge of the coverage of the South Korea-Japan World Cup for Direct TV and Channel 40 in Mexico.
