Edith Márquez Landa, better known in show business only as Edith Márquez , came into the world on January 27, 1973 in Mexico City. We are aware that her parents go by the names of Mario Humberto Márquez Delgado and Lilia Landa, and we also know that she has a sister who has the same name as her mother.

From an early age, Edith Márquez  showed interest in show business accompanied by great singing talent. Being so that she participated in various contests throughout her childhood.

At just 10 years old, around the year 1983, Edith Márquez participated in the musical contest that was known as Canta, canta, which was part of the television program known as XETU on Televisa, It is our knowledge that in this contest he won first place and the opportunity to be on stage next to the singer Pedro Fernández, who at that time was a very important figure in children’s music in our country, came into his life.

With the economic resources that Edith Márquez  won from the contest, she was able to agree to take classes with the singing teacher Lily de Migueles. The following year, Edith would appear as a participant in the third edition of the children’s festival known as Juguemos a cantar, in which she used the stage name “Heidi”, once again obtaining first place with the interpretation of the theme “Las three caravels”. From then on, Edith would appear on numerous musical programs and children’s festivals that would boost her artistic career.

Until she would start studying acting at Televisa’s Centro de Educación Artística (CEA), while she was a student at this institution, she would participate in the musical staging of the classic Vaselina together with the musical group known as Timbiriche. From 1987 to 1994 Edith Márquez  would be in charge of giving life to the character of Alejandra Costa in Papá soltero.

In the year 2000 Edith Márquez  released to the public the studio album known as Caricias del Cielo, from which two music videos emerged. One of the song “Acostúmbrame al Cielo” which was the first single from the album, and in whose staging we are told the story of a woman who loses her partner and sings to him in the beautiful landscapes of a hacienda that will always love him. . The second video would correspond to the song called “Esta Vez”, which corresponds to the second single from the album, and which was recorded at the Metropolitan Theater, where we are told the story of a love disappointment that is combined with the staging of an opera.

The following year, in 2001, we could enjoy the great voice of Edith Márquez  with the release of the album known by the name of Extravíate, from which the well-known videos with the titles of the songs of: “No” (in which appears in a duet with the singer Armando Manzanero), “Mi Nombre” (in which we are told the story of a couple who realize that things no longer work between them and decide to separate), and “Extravíate” (in which we can see how a woman wants her partner to get away from her and get out of her life).

When the coronavirus pandemic hit the whole world, several singers and performers met to premiere the song ” Resistiré ” which was released to express hope, unity and strength in the face of the COVID-19 crisis in Mexico, it was a new version of the song “Resistiré” from 1988 by Dúo Dinámico. In this new version Edith Márquez shared credits with other great figures and music stars such as; Yahir , Ximena Sariñana , Sandra Echeverria, Paty Cantú , MC Davo , María León , María José , Lila Downs,  Belinda , Leonel García, Kinky, Horacio Palencia, Camila & Aida Cuevas, among others; and then at the end of 2022Edith Márquez appeared in the song “Ven a cantar” along with other great artists.
