José Daniel Betances better known as El Nene La Amenazzy or simply Amenazzy is a famous singer exponent of the reggaeton genre who has achieved great musical successes such as Calmarme, Jalapeño, Desierto, We have nothing, Alone, among others. Amenazzy was born on August 4, 1995 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic and is currently one of the greatest singers of urban music.

Beginnings in the life of Amenazzy

José Daniel Betances, better known by his stage name El Nene La Amenazzy , was born on August 4, 1995 in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. His parents are José Apolinar Betances and Saulia Altagracia Espinal.

Amenazzy  studied at the Fausto Jiménez School, later he would be a student at the San Martín de Porres School; and later he would continue his studies at the Instituto Tecnológico México, ending his high school studies at the Colegio Simón Bolívar. We believe it is important to clarify that, despite the names of these schools, which could cause some confusion regarding their location, they are all in Santiago de los Caballeros.

When he was 10 years old, Amenazzy  was part of a small musical group, in which he soon stood out with the nickname “El Nene” due to his age and the fact that he was the youngest member of the group.

Then this nickname of “El Nene” that we can consider as prior to his stage name, then he had an addition with the nickname of “La menace” referring to his great musical talent. It was in this way that the artistic name that José Daniel would adopt and with which he would begin to identify himself in the world of fame was finally born: “El Nene La Amenaza” . Later he would identify himself as La Menazzy or just plain Menace . It is already with either of these two forms of his artistic name that he is known internationally.

In 2012 , Amenazzy  released to the public, at that time presenting himself as a music fan although very talented, about 7 songs among which were: Capel 2, La Sikaria and Despegue. It is considered that this was his debut in the world of musical entertainment. Although we must point out that in reality these songs were not very successful at that time.

However, this did not discourage El Nene La Amenaza , as José Daniel continued to venture into the world of music; always giving special priority to his great passion, without neglecting his commitment to his family that he wanted him to study for a university degree. While it is true, as a child he had been torn between two great passions: baseball and music. It was art that he ended up discovering as the guiding axis of his life, since as he himself has expressed “it was what inspired him” .

Relatively little time had passed since his debut with those 7 songs, when José Daniel, having already adopted the artistic name La Amenazzy with which we know him today, recorded with the musical group known as Los Mellos, which would be his first great success to date. which he titled After the party. The success of this song made him quickly rise to fame and formally venture into the world of music.

Thanks to the song After the party, there were several record companies and radio stations, both local and international, that opened their doors to La Amenazzy ; seeing her music as a new and promising bet in the rap genre for the musical world.

This impression that he had managed to generate in the musical show would grow even more with the release of his second great success known as La Chanty, which had such an impact that in 2016 Amenazzy released his first remix in collaboration with Arcángel.

In this regard, the artist has confessed that when this success came out,  Amenazzy was studying the first quarter of the accounting career. He says that he felt a bit strange when there were people who passed by or very close to him on the streets, playing his hit song in their cars, without imagining that he was just a few steps away.

At that time, Amenazzy  confessed that he could not believe the level of fame he had achieved, and it was when he realized that he had made a great success in his life by prioritizing his vocation, understanding, as he himself has expressed that “there was life in music ” .

Shortly after , Amenazzy  would return to publicize the songs called Me haces falta, Munchies de mujeres and Sin maquillaj e, working on the latter together with the artist known as Don Miguelo. Each of these songs managed to have an important position in the Latin American music playlists; with which Amenazzy gained popularity that would grow and forge a reputation that would lead him to collaborate with artists such as Nicky Jam, Farruko , J. Balvin, Yandel, Arcángel and Bad Bunny , to name just a few.

As a consequence of the success of the song Me haces falta , Amenazzy set a trend with the song entitled Reggaeton Royalty III, in the production of which he collaborated with the artists Beto Pelaez, El Poeta Callejero, Arcángel , Nicky Jam, and Julio X; Later in his artistic career the collaboration that we know as Reggaeton Love would take place, where he participated with Crazy Desing, Ozuna and Ken Y. Then would come the song Billetes de 100 in which he worked with Mark B, followed by the song Pussy en la Boca , a theme for which he collaborated with Migueltom; and finally we have on this list the song called Llamas, for which Bad Bunny , Arcángel and De La Ghetto participated.

In 2017 , Amenazzy  continued to have collaborations that led him to become an icon of his genre in the musical world. We can highlight his collaboration with Lary Over in the song entitled Solo and his work with Noriel on the song Ayer, in addition to other titles such as En una Caja de Muerto where he collaborated with Alfa, Lean with Bad Bunny , and his singles Lunes Pal Que It can and how rich it was. Later he would sound with songs like Ganja and Love me now (in its remix version) and I surrender, in which he once again collaborated with Noriel and this time Santana the Golden Boy also joined; shortly after he would launch Dame Una Hora together with Eladio Carrión , La Exce and Decibel Gigolo.

In addition to music, La Amenazzy had an important participation in the film known as Colao , which came to light in 2018, to be more specific on September 28. And that it was produced by Caribbean Cinemas, a production house originally from the Dominican Republic.
