Ari Borovoy Hofman better known only as Ari Borovoy is a Mexican singer, businessman and manager who initially became famous thanks to the group Onda Vaselina and later in OV7 where he achieved great musical successes. Ari Borovoy was born on May 29, 1979 in Mexico City and in 2010 he founded BoBo Producciones, an artistic representation agency together with his brother Jack Borovoy.

Ari Borovoy Hofman, better known in show business only as Ari Borovoy, came into the world on May 29, 1979 in Mexico City. It is considered that his artistic career began back in the year 1989, when he, with only 10 years of age, was part of the musical group known as Onda Vaselina , in which he was until his conversion. in OV7 .

In 1989, Ari Borovoy  released the self-titled studio album together with La Onda Vaselina . While for 1991 they released the second part, known under the title La Onda Vaselina 2, for the following year, in 1992, his voice appeared on the album known as Dulces para ti. In 1993 he released the studio album called The Rock Band. While in 1995 he would release the album known as Hoy. Later, in 1997 he would release the album called Entrega total and the following year, in 1998, he released Vuela alto to the market.

It is our knowledge that in 1997 Ari Borovoy began studying marketing at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, on the Mexico City Campus, however, he would not continue with these university studies due to his commitment to the musical group OV7. That being the case, Ari Borovoy decided to put college aside and continue with his artistic career.

A short time later, around the year 2000, he made the studio album known to the public known by the name of CD 100, we cannot ignore that it would be in this same year when Ari Borovoy  would appear as part of the cast of the telenovela known by the name of Locura de amor , where he made his appearance as himself along with his musical group OV7; in a plot aimed at a youth audience.

A year later, around 2001, Ari Borovoy distinguished himself as the composer of most of the songs on the album that was known under the title 7 latidos , standing out together with Mariana Ochoa for writing the lyrics of the song known by the title of “I’m not leaving .”

In 2003 Ari Borovoy with OV7  released the album known as Punto , it would be in this same year when he would be part of the cast of the telenovela known under the title CLAP, the place of your dreams, where he was in charge of the interpretation of the character known by the name of Juan Pablo Rubio Tejero.

After being in this soap opera, in 2005, Ari Borovoy decided to start his career as a soloist by releasing the album titled with the same name. While for the following year, in 2006, he would make his appearance on the big screen with the documentary known as Cuatro labios . In 2007, he was in the television series known as RBD La Familia , where he was in charge of the interpretation of the secondary character named Axel, in a plot that narrates the daily life of the members of the youth musical group known as RBD, which was derived from the soap opera called Rebelde.

Ari Borovoy  would take another step in his solo career by launching the album titled Pasajero on the market, later, in 2009, he would be part of the cast of the telenovela that was known under the name Verano de amor, where we know that He was in charge of giving life to the character of Elías Lobo, in a plot that revolves around friendship and the strong ties established by the inhabitants of a town called Tlacotalpan.

Despite Ari Borovoy’s efforts to achieve success as a soloist, he never finally managed to stand out on the music scene and his songs and singles achieved very ephemeral success, the same case that happened with all his other former colleagues who also tried to make a musical career of soloists but had no luck except for Kalimba who for several years and released albums managed to really get great musical recognition.

The following year, in 2010, the long-awaited reunion of OV7 would take place and the live album known as Primera Fila would be released. While for 2011 he released the album also live called Live from the Palacio de los Deportes, later they released the studio album fOreVer7 together with OV7 ; and for the year 2013 they released the album known as A tu lado. We cannot ignore the fact that this year he also made his appearance on the big screen with the film known as Desire , where he played the supporting role of a young man.

Some time later, in 2015, he would be on the album OV7 & Kabah live . It would also be in this same year when he would appear in the production known as Plan B. Later, he planned the 90’s Pop Tour that ended up becoming one of the most successful tours of all time and in which he managed to bring together a great amount of big stars like  Fey ,  Jeans ,  Lynda Thomas ,  Iran Castillo  together on the same stage. 

Undoubtedly, one of Ari Borovoy’s great achievements occurred with the founding and creation of the BOBO company, which he created together with his brother Jack Borovoy and in which throughout his great career as an entrepreneur and manager he has stood out managing to manage the image and career of great stars such as Vince Miranda,  Tessa Ia , Sandra Echeverria, Mariana Treviño, Manuel García Rufo, Jimena Sánchez, Eréndira Ibarra, Antonio Gaona, Manuel Balbi, Eugenio Bartolotti, Mauricio Garza, Ariel Levy,  Litzy , Marcela Guirado, Mauricio Martínez, Alejandro de la Madrid , Gaby Espino, Fernanda Castillo and Erik Hayser , among many others who have increased over the years.

But not everything was honey on flakes in the life of Ari Borovoy , because in mid-2021 together with Bobo Producciones they faced a lawsuit by the youth group known as LemonGrass , whose members accused him of not complying with the provisions of their contracts and dismissing them unjustifiably when the young people asked him to account for the profits they had made as a group that at that time was made up of  Ana Paula de León ,  Ivanna González ,  Yael Fernández ,  Emiliano González ,  Sophie Durand  and  Nathan Bank .

“Here it was not that it was stipulated how much we were paid, we wanted a review of accounts, to know how much was generated, we wanted to be more part of the project, we are not just pretty children who sing on stage, we began to have, not other interests , but it did expand our minds. It was our job, we dedicated hours and our lives, we lost many things that we could have lived as young people to dedicate ourselves to this. We do not regret it but we were entitled to that . ” These were the words of LemonGrass who demanded that Ari Borovoy paid them the same for their presentations, although the amount of public generated more income.
